Amazing Cakes

Today I bring you some more inspiring cakes I've recently come across in blogland - ENJOY! I have... :)

Bird Cake

This fantastic birdie cake is all the way from Australia! By Allanna via Amy Atlas. Needless to say, it stole my breath (and heart!)

Continuing with the bird's theme - What can I say?! I AM biased... :)

Bird Rainbow Cake
I think birds are a universal theme - For girls AND boys! Plus, they would make a great baby shower theme too! And wouldn't that rainbow cake be sooo fetching with my Rainbow Party Collection?! ;)

Have you finished drooling yet? :)

I know some of you are thinking "I could never do that in a million years"? Well, the following cakes hopefully will convince you otherwise, because they are NOT professionally made but still make you go "ooohh, aaah!"

Nope, these were handmade by readers and friends of Bird Crafts!

These talented ladies do not have blogs to display their artistic work, and it's a shame! So they've kindly agreed to let me show them here - Thank you ladies! :)

I think handmade or home-made cakes, often made for someone we know and love deserve as much, if not more, attention as the professional stuff, like the ones we see on an Amy Atlas display (which are amazing, btw...)! :)

This butterfly cake together with the Spider man cake below were made by Becky all the way from Malta!

Aren't they something?! Becky is neither a professional baker nor a chef and she made them for her sweet children's Bday!

This fab Igloo cake was made by a very proud auntie Mary for her darling 1-year-old niece's Birthday! Clever and Cool! Pun intended... hehe
Mary made the penguins herself too! Sooo cute!

I hope you too feel inspired by these wonderful birthday cakes! And if you do want to share your amazing cakes or party creations (whether you have a blog or not), drop me a line and your nice pics!

Happy baking and happy partying,

Bird
