DIY Spring Lollipop Flowers

Hello there! It's Christine over at Pure Joy Events, here to share the lollipop flower tutorial from my Gingham Easter Party. When Bird asked me to do a guest post, of course I jumped at the opportunity.

These lollipop flowers are super simple to make, and could serve as darling favors for baby showers and children's birthday parties. Here's what you'll need:

* floral craft punch (I'm using Martha Stewart's embossed pop-up daisy punch)
* hole puncher (Martha's screw punch works really well)
* tissue paper
* lollipops
* green floral stryofoam block (mine is 4"W x 4"D x 2"H)
* green gingham scrapbook paper
* white glue

Step 1: Fold a sheet of tissue paper to create two layers, then use the floral punch to cut out the petals. I used different shades of pink tissue paper to add color and dimension.

Step 2: Place two to four petals on top of each other and punch a hole in the center.

Step 3: Thread the petals through the lollipop stick.

Step 4: Cut out leaves from the gingham paper, and glue them around the lollipop stick.

Step 5: To make the stand for the lollipop flowers, cut out four 4"W x 4"D x 2 3/4"H rectangular pieces from the gingham paper, then create blades of the grass by making some triangular cuts along the top. Use a pencil to curl the grass. Lastly, glue the paper to the sides of the floral block.

It's been a pleasure sharing my tutorial with everyone on Bird's Party today.
