Bird's Party Printables on TV!!
I've been dying to spill the beans for weeks, and now I can!! At the end of last year I was contacted by Jelena, the brains and talent behind Baby S Event - A very stunning and successful Baby Shower Events Company from France!
Jelena wanted me to design a complete Pink and Aqua Gingham Baby Shower Party for Baby S Event's TV debut on terrestrial France 2 television - You see, in France the concept of a Baby Shower is quite novel, and hence the special TV documentary. The program is called Envoyé Spécial and has not yet been aired, but Jelena sent over some behind the scenes from the TV recording and I'm very excited and quite giddy to be able to share them with you...

Imaginative Play Toys is the brainchild of the MEGA talented Julie, who started her profitable sewing business some 20 years ago. Julie love applique and in her own words: "One of the main reasons I love to make the playhouses is because I love to trace and cut out every little piece, and put it all together on the fabric that makes the walls. Kind of like a big puzzle. I love building the design as much as sewing it. Makes it twice the fun!"
Julie's love, talent and dedication clearly show on her fabulous masterpieces and beautiful playhouse creations - These are the original Etsy Card Table Playhouses, lovingly handmade to be heirloom toys. They are even more adorable in person...the playhouses can be made to fit ANY table.
All items used in her playhouses and toys are certified completely child safe for all ages - No small parts, no paint, no glue or vinyl! All the toys are also eco friendly! Made with love for our planet with felt that is produced from 100% post consumer plastic bottles, manufactured in the USA.

Cake it Pretty TUTORIAL: Marzipan Frog Cupcakes
As you may already know, I love to get stuck in and make whatever I can for any of my parties. From the desserts and edible treats, to favors, party décor and off course the printables! :)
This is how I got started in designing party printables in the first place. I guess being fed up trying to buy what I wanted without succeeding prompted me to try to make things for my parties, and it's no different for my children's Birthday Party in The Garden that I showed you a few weeks back....
I received a lot of positive feedback from you guys about the party, especially about the frog cupcakes I did for my son's part of the table (see details here). These cute frog cupcakes are very easy to make, and you can let your imagination run with and make not only frogs, but a a host of other edible little creatures for your kid's parties!
I cannot find sugar paste (also known as fondant) here, and have used marzipan (almond paste) in the past. The taste is even better (we all know that conventional sugar paste is tasteless..) and you can colour it any color you like or buy ready colored marzipan too!
I used the white marzipan and colored it in the different shades you see below using gel food coloring. I bought mine online here.

Check out my little man helping out! Easy as child play...dough! :)
Then it's simply a question of spreading some apricot jam onto your already cooled cupcakes and getting artistic! No need to be too fancy, as it's just like play-dough!
First I did the eyes, which is just little balls slightly squashed (very scientific term...), and layered them on top of each other. If you get trouble sticking them down, just dab a little water with your finger.
Then make the nostril with a couple of toothpick and the mouth using a knife. Add the pink cheeks and place the whole lot into a cute paper case - All the cupcakes can be decorated a couple of days advance and stored in the fridge until the day of the party.
These would suit a Little frog party as well as a fun Hello Kitty/Keroppi party don't you think?
Hope you liked the tips, and if you have a go, we would LOVE to see your photos!
Happy caking!! :)

"My Sweetheart" Valentine's Party Collection
There's nothing better than LOVE to makes us feel better and more uplifted, huh? After a rough week, I have managed to put this mini-shoot together inspired by Valentine's Day and what it means to me.
Without wanting to sound cliche, these Valentine's Party Printables were inspired by My Sweetheart (hubby), and more specifically a phrase I often say to him: "Thank you for being mine." - Which was the starting point for the entire collection :)
The "My Sweetheart" Valentine's Party collection includes:
* Valentine's Day Prints: 4 designs. Can be used as Valentine's cards, party invites, favor bag labels, postcards, party signs or as frame as a Valentine's gift as we have done!
* Mini cards: Can be used as place-holder cards, favor tags, gift tags, cake toppers, candy jar labels..
* Rectangular mini envelopes: 2 designs.
* Rectangular mini envelopes: 2 designs.

* 3 patterned sheets: Use as snack cones, to line trays, to make napkin rings, candy jar wrapper, bunting, to wrap gifts..
* Cupcake toppers: 12 designs. Can also be used as favor tags, candy jar labels, envelope seals and more!
* Color-in Valentine's Card: Great as party craft for kids, or they can simply color and decorate their own card for a parent, grandparent or classmate!
