How to Set up an Easter Waffle Bar

How to Set up an Easter Waffle Bar - BirdsParty.com

Last year we had a mimosa bar as part of our Easter brunch (you can see it here). It was such a hit with everyone, that this year I'm still going the self-service bar for brunch. But with waffles!

The cute bunnies from our traditional Easter Printable Kit are the perfect match for this "Hoppy Easter" styling. I like that's it's not too girly, since my boy wouldn't approve anyways ;)

How to Set Up a Waffle Bar for Easter Brunch

This waffle bar is looks super adorable but it's also a mega practical way to entertain (us party gals love a bar...), because all you need to do it set up the main dishes and decor ahead of brunch, preferably the night before; and everyone tucks into their brunch goodies without ceremony!

It leaves you a free to enjoy the day, without having to worry about serving people.

For the bar decor, I used my trusty studio side table and pushed it against the wall, which I decorated with tissue paper honeycomb balls and rosettes from our EU shop. You get the same here and here.

The Easter bunny party printables were used everywhere to embellish the table, like the adorable cake bunting that I stuck to the underside of the table. That's what I love about printables, they really are super versatile, and you can use them anywhere you fancy! ;)

The party color palette was green, orange and yellow with hints of brown to match the printables.

What Foods to Serve at a Waffle Bar?

Waffles are a given...homemade, or shop-bought if you don't have a waffle maker. It's Easter, so some form of chocolate syrup or spread is also a must in my view. Don't judge! ;)

But to avoid kids getting too high on all that sugar (and because we're responsible parents...ish) now's a great time to include fruits and healthier toppings like honey and nuts.

Yogurt and anything your family and friends are likely to enjoy for brunch is a suitable option to include in your bar.

If you're not having brunch, then how about setting up a waffle bar for dessert?!
Here I'd serve ice cream instead of yogurt, and turn the bar into a sweet treats fest! :)

The key is to decant or serve sauces, toppings and syrups out of their usual packaging - nothing fancy here, just taking care of the details ;)

So grab those cute popcorn boxes, or cupcake baking cups, and re-purpose them as utensils holders, or fill them up with yummy treats and toppings for your waffle bar. Easy!

Fun Easter Brunch Activities

You know me, I love a little party action. And in my book no party (however small) should go without favors and/or some sort of fun shenanigans!

This is where those versatile candy tubes and printables come in handy again! ;)
The Easter bunny printable kit comes with photos booth props as you can see here - Party activity/photos sorted!

And in this post I explain how you can turn these candy tubes into a party craft AND party favor in one. Go on, go have a read! You'll thank me later ;)
