A Merry & Colorful Kids' Ornament-Making Party

Thank you Moose Toys for sponsoring this post. Get crafty with your kiddo and make “ooniements” with Oonies by Moose Toys this holiday season!

Christmas is upon us and it's time to enjoy some indoor fun with the kiddos!

An ornament-making party is such a fun way to spend some quality time together, while crafting cute decor!

A Merry & Colorful Kids' Ornament-Making Party

For this party we teamed up with Oonies by Moose Toys to help us create “ooniements” . How fun do they sound?! 😍

Turns out, Oonies are the coolest way to create! Kids can take an Oonies pellet, place it in the inflator and watch it magically grow into an Oonie!

Plus, Oonies stick to each other so kids can make amazing creatures and designs for any party theme – with no mess!

How to Make Ooniements

1) Take a pellet and place it in the inflator, and press the lever down.

2) Pump to inflate your pellet.

3) Vary the sizes to make different "ooniements".

4) Take the Oonie out and you're ready to create!

5) You can stick Oonies together to make Christmas wreaths or..

6) Make a cute snowman (or any other creature) come to life!  😊

My kids loved crafting with Oonies, and their bright colors inspired me to set up a really merry and colorful holiday party table with plenty of baubles and bright, disposable tableware, which is a cinch to clean up after the party!

Another cute idea that's also easy to replicate, is making personalized straws so drinks don't get mixed up! For this easy craft, I just glued glittery foam sticker letters of each child's initial to a party straw, so it also doubled as place-markers.

Plus, the disposable plates help to hold they Oonies and crafty bits and bobs after they've had their treats!

Add some seasonal tasty treats like our festive and colorful popcorn, and "jingle-juice" (peppermint white hot chocolate - recipe below), and you have yourself a elfing fabulous activity to keep the kids entertained and happy during the holiday season!

Plus, their "ooniements" make perfect favors and Christmas gifts, packaged in cute favor boxes!

Peppermint White Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients: Serves 6

* 6 cups of milk
* 12 tablespoons of white chocolate chips
* a few drops of peppermint extract (to taste)
* optional: whipped cream and sprinkles to garnish

Directions:

1) Add milk and white chocolate to a pan and heat gently, stirring until the chocolate has melted.
Do not boil as chocolate may stick to the bottom of the pan!

2) Remove from heat and add the peppermint extract to taste.

3) Serve at once with whipped cream on top and colorful sprinkles.
