For my green & metallic tablescape I showed you here , I made some quick and easy DIY pots of gold for each table place setting.  I love how simple these are to make with materials you already probably have at home , and in no time at all you have something super cute but also practical that does double-duty as table decor! ;) Kids can totally help too, and in fact, would make a cute St Paddy's Day gift for teachers and class mates too!

You all know the drill: it's Valentine's Day and all you can find are those cheap-looking grocery store flowers for your party (or for your other half). But don't panic, I've got just the trick to help you turn those last-minute wilting blooms into a swoon-worthy floral arrangement!

These cards look SO cool as part of your tablescape, that you'll wanna make them for every dinner party you host, and not just Valentine's Day! ;)

Beer rhymes with Super Bowl. We know that. But what if beer is not your thing? Or you fancy something sweeter while watching the game? Well, for my Super Bowl party I served this super tasty fruity mixer, which not only is the perfect pairing to wheat beer ; but can can be also added to lemonade, sparkling water or tonic to cater for kiddos and mocktail lovers alike!

These DIY table napkins are perfect for a modern Christmas table !  They also ma k e for a  fun handmade (and very last minute!) gift. Plus, once you know you can hand stamp basic fabrics so easily, you'll never be stuck for unique linens to match your table or home decor! ;)

When it comes to creating a table centerpiece (or any decor for that matter) that's original and inexpensive, I turn to paper! Bonus points if you can re-purpose, re-use or recycle papers you may already have around the home, like I did for my Origami Christmas Trees table centerpiece this year.

As you saw in my Thanksgiving tablescape post here , my floral arrangement was a DIY jobbie. DIY is not only something I love, because it makes me try out new skills and ideas; but also it's often something of a necessity when I can't quite buy what I need for a particular project or photo shoot. And floral centerpieces or arrangements for me, ALWAYS fall under the 'urgh, I just can't get anything cute 'round here...'  category. So DIY is the only available option :)

I've had a love for beautifully handwritten notes and calligraphy since I was a child.  You see, back in the days, we used to do calligraphy at school to learn how to write properly. My mom bought me these instructional books and I still remember marveling to find out that there was actually a "proper" way to write each letter! Nowadays, I'm in love with modern calligraphy. Big time!

Why buy when you can DIY  - that's my motto in life. So naturally, I turned to my paintbrushes when creating this large wall art canvas for my new studio bar . I wanted something big, abstract and eye catching to hang as a focal point. 

Styling a tented stand has been on my party bucket list since ever! You know, the super cute stands complete with the mandatory awning , that you can use for SO many party themes in summer and beyond?! Like lemonade stands, ice cream stations, drinks stations , circus carnival concession stand... (You name it, and chances are; you can put an awning on it!) So for my latest Coca-Cola partnership , I decided to tick it off my list.

Party trends come and go. Fact. But confetti and balloons will remain forever classics.  At least as far as my parties are concerned... But the way we use and present them will vary to suit season, taste and occasion. For instance. confetti poppers are literally popping everywhere. From weddings, to sweet sixteen parties or bridal showers. 

My Mother's Day Color POP tablescape was inspired by pompoms.  And I can tell you we pompom-ed the heck out of everything. And I mean, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. Turns out pompoms are really versatile.  Think napkin rings, cute gift and favor packaging embellishments, headbands, jewelry...and even fridge magnets ! I LOVE the idea of decorative place-setting decor that also double-duties as a practical favor!

If you follow the blog for a while, you'll know how much I LOVE paper and handmade party decorations . It's my jam!  I'm always asking myself if I can make it first, before I decide to buy... So you can imagine how giddy I was when Brother got in touch asking me to create something fun using their P-touch label maker !! I also did a happy dance when they offered to giveaway one of the machines away here on the blog! :)

If you follow along on Instagram, you would have seen a sneaky peek of this Emoji inspired DIY back in February, when I had the light bulb idea of turning these printable Emojifest toppers into funky eggs for Easter! When testing the idea, I actually gave my husband a little fright when he opened the egg carton box to make omelet for lunch :D

Following on from yesterday's Santa inspired post, I thought I'd share the DIY for the cupcakes I made to match my  Christmas Candyland desserts table . I used sugar paste f ondant and printable toppers to decorate the cupcakes.  It's not rocket science - more like playing with modelling clay! :)

We've always held world cup match watching celebrations in our family since I was a child, so I guess it's tradition now. Especially since this year it's been held in Brazil!! Talk about fun overload, right?! :) So all this week I'll be sharing some creative party ideas inspired by the beautiful game, and its   world cup host country!! As part of our #SocialCircus month, I decided to make a fun  DIY Carousel Centerpiece - But one made with party supplies and candy (is there a better kind?!) that anyone may have in the house at the time of the birthday party. So I raided my party shop and grabbed  paper plates ,  candy tubes and dinky striped paper straws . Not forgetting the adorable  Circus printables , and my trusty glue gun of course! ;) This cute carousel centerpiece would be fun as a birthday desserts table candy dish , kids table decoration or even a fun party activity (minus the hot glue!). It's easy to make, quick and inexpensive too!
