Easter Kids Brunch as Seen on Yum Food and Fun for Kids Magazine

I styled this Easter Kids Brunch last year for Yum and Food for Kids Magazine. Their Easter issue is out and full of amazing ideas!! And with Easter round the corner, I thought I'd share all the details here on the blog with tips and trick on how you can re-create it at home.

It's a very simple and super colorful table that will wow your little bunnies! But these unique ideas can also be used for the family table too, simply replace the disposable tableware with fancier china.

My Book | Les Party Printables out now!

So beyond excited (and a tad relieved), to be able to share this news! Been keeping this under wraps since last summer when I got signed to write the book
The day I received the news, it didn't quite sink in. And all the months that followed. Not until I actually had the printed book in my hands earlier this month, so it's kinda cool that I waited. It feels more real now! :)

Paint My Party: Blue and Green Mad Scientist Birthday Party Ideas

As part of our inspiration week, we couldn't finish without a super fun theme for the boys. Or girls for that matter, 'cause we actually get just as many sweet customers styling it for their birthday girls! In fact, the theme came about from my own love of science.

You probably don't know this, but I used to be an chemical engineer before parties took over my life...anyways, I relished the chance to design something that included a lab coat, molecular structure designs, and the good ol' test tube. Not to mention a nod to the Periodic Table! :)

Here are some party ideas to help inspire your own science-filled Blue and Green Mad Scientist Bash!

Easy DIY Lego Inspired Cake Bunting

For the Lego party shoot, I had no time to bake a Lego head cake (as I originally wanted ..), so printables came to the rescue once again. I think the bunting idea turned out super cute, which just shows that sometimes less really is more! ;)

Summer Birthday Party Ideas for Red River and Rio Grande Magazines!

I love working on editorials for printed press. There's nothing like seeing one's work in print. I think the smell of the pages also has a part to play in it. Yes, I unashamedly 'sniff' my work! :D

Anyways, you can imagine my delight when the editors of Rio Grande and Red River Family Magazine got in touch for another collaborative work for their July issue. We had worked together before, but this time they were going to feature three of our parties! Woo-Hoo!

Both mag are printed and also available for you to read online. Check out all the details below:

A Stunning "UP" Inspired Balloon Birthday Party!

A while back I was honored to be able to design for the 1st birthday one of our most sweet customers, Nicholas! Nicholas' mom had a clear vision of what she wanted for the designs, and we set off to try create an "Up Movie" inspired collection that did not use any copyrighted images! It was no mean feat, but I was  really happy with the results. And by the looks of things, so was Nicholas! :)

Check out below all the STUNNING party photos - I especially love the travel-themed favors and decor, and that awesome cake and those incredible cake pops!! ♥

Rainbow Jelly Bean Birthday Party

I (Mindy) live in northern California and one of our family’s favorite outings is to the jelly belly factory! Aubrey was so excited about this theme for her party {and so was her brother ... my little guy has lots of allergies and jelly belly beans are vegan and safe for him to enjoy too} and since Aubrey’s birthday occurred in the middle of writing my book, I relied quite a bit on the incredible vendors (listed at the end) to help make her day special!

I also relied on a simple color scheme: Rainbow! The Jelly Bean Printables were designed by Bird’s Party - the jelly bean and striped patterns were exactly what I was looking for – and they were just perfect!
