And I must say, for a bird who likes pink, I really was surprised how much I enjoyed it too! So prepare to be dazzle with the eye candy ;) My kids love to bake with me, and when I was designing Bird's Party latest Baking Party Printables , I realized there aren't many ' boy-friendly' baking parties out there, and there should be! There are lots of girly, frilly decorations, so I wanted to design and style something cute, but that would appeal to boys or girls and twins of any age. Come to think of it, these baking party ideas would also be cool for play dates, classroom activities, or a twins birthday ?!

As part of our #SocialCircus month, I decided to make a fun DIY Carousel Centerpiece - But one made with party supplies and candy (is there a better kind?!) that anyone may have in the house at the time of the birthday party. So I raided my party shop and grabbed paper plates , candy tubes and dinky striped paper straws . Not forgetting the adorable Circus printables , and my trusty glue gun of course! ;) This cute carousel centerpiece would be fun as a birthday desserts table candy dish , kids table decoration or even a fun party activity (minus the hot glue!). It's easy to make, quick and inexpensive too!

And with Easter round the corner, I thought I'd share all the details here on the blog with tips and trick on how you can re-create it at home. As part of our inspiration week, we couldn't finish without a super fun theme for the boys . Or girls for that matter, 'cause we actually get just as many sweet customers styling it for their birthday girls ! In fact, the theme came about from my own love of science . You probably don't know this, but I used to be an chemical engineer before parties took over my life...anyways, I relished the chance to design something that included a lab coat, molecular structure designs, and the good ol' test tube . For the Lego party shoot , I had no time to bake a Lego head cake (as I originally wanted ..), so printables came to the rescue once again. I think the bunting idea turned out super cute, which just shows that sometimes less really is more! ;)

A while back I was honored to be able to design for the 1st birthday one of our most sweet customers, Nicholas! Nicholas' mom had a clear vision of what she wanted for the designs, and we set off to try create an "Up Movie" inspired collection that did not use any copyrighted images! It was no mean feat, but I was really happy with the results. I ( Mindy ) live in northern California and one of our family’s favorite outings is to the jelly belly factory ! Aubrey was so excited about this theme for her party {and so was her brother ... my little guy has lots of allergies and jelly belly beans are vegan and safe for him to enjoy too} and since Aubrey’s birthday occurred in the middle of writing my book, I relied quite a bit on the incredible vendors (listed at the end) to help make her day special! I also relied on a simple color scheme: Rainbow ! The Jelly Bean Printables were designed by Bird’s Party - the jelly bean and striped patterns were exactly what I was looking for – and they were just perfect!
