Hey friends, Easter is 'round the corner and I've decided to share with you one of my favorite recipes EVER - Hot cross buns !! These delicious, lightly spiced sweet bread rolls make for the perfect Easter breakfast, lunch or treat and are quite simple to make too! I absolutely love eating hot cross buns any time of day though, and this year I tried a new recipe that I just had to share it with you guys, since they turned out SO good!
There are tons of Easter egg decoration ideas and DIYs on Pinterest . But to be honest, some of them are just too involved, or not child-friendly or require blowing out eggs (who has time or patience for that?!). So I just came up with the pretties and EASIEST Easter egg decorating technique , using a medium you already have at home - nail polish! ! :)
As you can probably tell from my recent Easter themed posts here on the blog , I'm currently really into pastels. I know it's not a groundbreaking concept for Easter or spring, but there's just something so cheerful and comforting about pastel colors - be it in parties, food or tablescapes. Am I right? When I was fourteen, my school organized a crafts sale, and we had to make all sorts of handmade decor items to sell, including scented candles. I still wanted pretty table mind, but one that was much quicker and easier to style. My mom has been making savory cakes for years, with chicken, Spring vegetables, tuna etc. But this smoked salmon version is perfect for Easter brunch, don't you think?!

Last year we had a mimosa bar as part of our Easter brunch ( you can see it here ). It was such a hit with everyone, that this year I'm still going the self-service bar for brunch. But with waffles! The cute bunnies from our traditional Easter Printable Kit are the perfect match for this "Hoppy Easter" styling. I like that's it's not too girly, since my boy wouldn't approve anyways ;)
