Baking parties are not just for girls! My son LOVES to bake with me, and he was the inspiration behind our NEW Baking Party Printables! Styling a memorable birthday party or summer play date for your kids can mean a great deal of preparation. So we've put together a few easy and quick tips and ideas to helping you pull off a fun, creative and unique Cupcake Decorating Party – perfect for boys or girls of any age!

I styled this mini desserts table for the July/August edition of the French national magazine, Créative . And when choosing a theme, strawberries just seemed the perfect match for a seasonal and super sweet table! Needless to say, I LOVED styling it - not only did I get to design and shoot a brand new printable party theme in another language, but I also got to play with fondant. A lot! And fondant is kinda like modelling clay for grown ups ;) Another fun aspect is that I had baked all the desserts myself (yes, that is fun for me..), from the cookies to the marshmallow pops, the strawberry cookies, cake and cupcakes !! So excited to finally share with you the fabulous Gluten Free Cupcake Baking Party from our contributor Gillian ! Not only it's full of inspiring party ideas, but Gillian also use the designs from our Cupcake Baking printables  to create the large sprinkles table backdrop !  How cool is that?! I simply designed them in a resolution high enough so Gillian could take it to a printing shop to get it enlarged! Fun, right?! I had so much fun styling this party!  It gave me a chance to re-work our existing Pixie Fairy Designs from lilac to pink, and to create a simple yet charming kids birthday party! Usually it takes me a good four months to plan a party from scratch (mostly because I'm a control freak who loves to DIY all aspects from printable, to baking and photography...), but for this one I wanted to incorporate simple decor ideas and create a magical ambiance that anyone can pull together quickly and without much fuss . I ( Mindy ) live in northern California and one of our family’s favorite outings is to the jelly belly factory ! Aubrey was so excited about this theme for her party {and so was her brother ... my little guy has lots of allergies and jelly belly beans are vegan and safe for him to enjoy too} and since Aubrey’s birthday occurred in the middle of writing my book, I relied quite a bit on the incredible vendors (listed at the end) to help make her day special!  I also relied on a simple color scheme: Rainbow ! The Jelly Bean Printables were designed by Bird’s Party   - the jelly bean and striped patterns were exactly what I was looking for – and they were just perfect!

Hi this is Dorangela from Two Prince Bakery Theater , excited to be here with you today! My darling boy turned 5 recently and he has a slight obsession with Spider-Man, so there was no question what theme his party would have to be! Not only did we have a theme, we also knew it would have to be completely gluten free in order for both of my boys to be able to enjoy it all! I am not one to throw parties that are too character based, as in using all character plates etc., so I decided to do a vintage feel. I was lucky enough to get Bird's Party Spider Hero Printables which worked perfectly. I love the primary colors and vintage feel!

This super cool Penguin Birthday Party (pun intended..) was styled by our fabulous contributor Mindy from Creative Juice for Bird's Party Magazine Winter 2011 .  Mindy used Bird's Party penguin frozen Printables and create a really rather fabulous "igloo" inspired desserts table, and I think the cute details she incorporated made the party really soft and delicate, showing just how versatile the theme can be for any child's winter birthday - Boy or Girl! This SUPER fun, colorful and whimsical  Lorax Inspired Birthday Party was styled by our incredibly talented contributor, Smita from The Party Wall . I love working with Smita to come up with printable designs, as she really thinks 'outside the box' in any party she styles, and this one has so many incredible details!! Especially when you realize they were mostly handmade by Smita herself, despite her being a full time lawyer!  :) Check out the stunning details she created for her little Sohan's 5th birthday party...

Oh, how we do have some very talented customers!! The creativity out there never ceases to amaze and inspire me, and it's so much so in the case of this Mickey Inspired Party ! One of the best parts of being a printable designer is getting to see all the fabulousness that your designs and printable help to create in your customer's lives! Sounds very cliche but really; there's no better feeling than knowing that you were a tiny part of a child's special day - Makes me all fuzzy inside! :)

I love thinking of fun, unique ideas and twists on popular birthday themes, and it was no different for my  children this year - We always have a joint party as they were born on the same day but two years part, and the  Barnyard Farm Theme  was a perfect solution for their 5th and 7th birthday celebrations! I did snap loads of pics a usual, but below's a taster of the day...Oh, and because I made a lot of the stuff by hand, there'll be some tutorials coming all this week! :)
