Sometimes less is more. This sentence springs to mind with today's post from my little nephew Miguel's 1st birthday! Miguel lives in Brazil with my brother and sister in law, and although I wasn't present for the festivities, I helped to design the jungle birthday printables for his 1st birthday party, which is a huge honor for me! :) Here are the fabulous party photos styled and taken by Miguel's mom , who is not a professional party planner nor party blogger!

Much like pineapples , Flamingos have been trending on the party scene for a couple of years now. And I for one, have been totally itching to style a pink flamingo party FOR EVER! Well, last weekend, we got to do just that. Hey guys, I'm so beyond excited to share with you this party I styled for my younger sister's 25th birthday! As you probably know, pineapples are EVERYWHERE these days, and I've been dying to style a fun themed party using our latest pineapple printables ! So when my little sis came over (from Rio) for her birthday a few weeks ago, we couldn't pass up the chance to party like pineapples ;)
The Superhero party theme is one of the very first I designed for the shop . So I felt this year it needed to be jazzed up slightly. Kinda like a printable makeover. Which ALWAYS gets me in the party mood! So I did a double happy dance when my good friend Virginie reached out to use our Superhero printables for her little Romain's 5th birthday party! Especially because we then get to see them in super pow wow action :)
In my book pink goes with pretty much anything ;) But is particularly pretty, coupled with bright yellow for a seasonal garden party inspired by flowers and butterflies ! I'm also SO over those big, elaborate dessert tables we used to style some years ago. And as much I loved doing them, I think kids birthday parties don't need to be OTT to be charming. A few touches of DIY decor is all I tend to go for these days, and this darling inspiration board is proof that less is more!

Spring's in full bloom, true. But still can't avoid those April showers, so we might as well celebrate them. Because if nothing else, that's when we're more likely to see a pretty rainbow! ;) And who doesn't love rainbows?! The colors are an instant pick me up, and perfect for injecting a little cheer into our seasonal birthdays, baby showers or any other celebration this time of year!
Spring is synonymous with flowers, but also with the humble bumble bee. And it's so heartbreaking to read everywhere that bees are on the verge of extinction :( ( you can read more on this subject here ). But if it's up to us party lovers, bee themed parties and events are here to stay, right?! For me, summer is not complete without a fun pool party . So for our third shoot with Coca-Cola® , we couldn't pass up the chance get our toes wet! The weather here's been extremely hot, and I also decided to set up a Coke Float station to also help keep things cool. Literally! ;)
