As you saw in my Thanksgiving tablescape post here , my floral arrangement was a DIY jobbie. DIY is not only something I love, because it makes me try out new skills and ideas; but also it's often something of a necessity when I can't quite buy what I need for a particular project or photo shoot. And floral centerpieces or arrangements for me, ALWAYS fall under the 'urgh, I just can't get anything cute 'round here...' category. So DIY is the only available option :)
DIY Easy Calligraphy Thanksgiving Poster
I've had a love for beautifully handwritten notes and calligraphy since I was a child. You see, back in the days, we used to do calligraphy at school to learn how to write properly. My mom bought me these instructional books and I still remember marveling to find out that there was actually a "proper" way to write each letter! Nowadays, I'm in love with modern calligraphy. Big time!
My Modern DIY Thanksgiving Tablescape
If you follow along on Instagram (yes, you really should) you'd have seen sneak peeks of my studio and office make-overs this summer. I'm nowhere finished yet, but the lounge where I do all my photo shoots is at last painted and a blank canvas waiting to be adorned with party decor each season. And this simple DIY Thanksgiving tablescape is the first to christen the space!! It's quiet appropriately, as I'm super thankful to have this little nook to do my work in. And for that alone, I'm extra giddy to share the photos with your today! :)

The Easiest Peach & Raspberry Galette Recipe
This is quite possible, the easiest "pie" recipe I've ever made! Pastry and all. Well I say pie...but really, the shape is the typical French galette style. No fuss, rustic goodness. And that' how I like my pies! The most difficult part is waiting for it cook (and cool!) so you can start devouring ;)
Being in charge of Thanksgiving dinner can seem like a daunting task. Even for the most discerning hostess. Thanksgiving Sugar & Spice Kids Party Tablescape
Last year we did a round up of gorgeous tablescape for Thanksgiving , so this year we're sharing some fun party ideas for the kids table. This stunning Thanksgiving party was featured first on Bird's Party Magazine a while back, and styled by Alexandra from Enchanted Events and Designs. The idea is to make the Thanksgiving kids table inviting enough so the kids will want to sit put. For a little while at least... So crafts, activities and practical but FUN decorations are a must!
When life gives you lemons, sometimes is hard to think about making lemonade. Especially when what you reeeally wanted to begin with, was a huge slice of comforting lemon meringue pie :) If my sweet analogy doesn't really cut the lemon curd (sorry...pun intended.), what I'm trying to say is; we don't always get what we want . Stuff happens. But most certainly, there's always, ALWAYS, something to be thankful for!
We're epicureans in our home, and food takes center stage at any of our shindigs. But this year, I'm being a little more sensible. At least when it comes to the party appetizers. Don't get me wrong, I love a good ol' stuff-a-thon, but if you count all the grub that will be gobbled from now until end of the year... Anyways, I've been scouring the web for delicious, unique and above all healthy party appetizers that are great for all the family. These yummy ideas are also super simple and quick , and therefore perfect for rustling up at the last minute!
Loving the simple/rustic feel of this table. I could spend the whole day (literally) looking on Pinterest for inspiration on tablescapes . I love seeing people's interpretations of a theme, holiday or event. The basics remain the same (table, plates, centerpieces, napkins...) but the creative flair and imagination comes from each carefully thought-out detail. So you don't have to spend ages looking, I've selected some of my favorite tables here. But I'm not gonna lie. Some of these are beyond fabulous and detailed that I don't think we can recreate the looks at the very last minute. But creativity is not about copying, it's about being inspired! So I hope you can take away some of the elements in these wonderful tablescapes, and find you own personal style for Thanksgiving! :)
