Following on from our lemon themed party , today I'm sharing the super pretty, but oh-so-easy-to-make lemon decorated cookies I made for that event. Sugar decorated cookies is another of my passions, but as much as I love a detailed cookie design, most often I'll try to simplyfy the techniques to make the decorating part more fun (and quicker)! 😉

Lately I've been hooked on baking cakes. Layered cakes to be precise. I think it's the influence of all those amazing cake-decorating videos and accounts on Instagram ! 💁 Hence, my latest creation - this delicious, super pretty and oh-so easy to bake and decorate lemon and berries cake with Mascarpone frosting. We served this cake at our mothers' day tea party a couple weeks ago, but it would be perfect to serve at a baby or bridal shower, or any other spring or summer party!

I first made these sugar lollipops for my kids garden party some years ago (read it here ) . Back then, I didn't have a lollipop mold or a candy thermometer, but they turned out great nonetheless! Fast forward six years, and now that I own a proper mold, the possibilities are endless, my friends! Like adding edible flowers and Spring bloom to make it into a more grown-up version ;)

Have you seen these amazing, trendy cream tarts in shapes of numbers and letters, taking over Instagram and Pinterest ? Well, I personally like to call them "cookie cakes" instead because, well, they look like layered cake to me! They're basically two giant sugar cookies sandwiched together with some sort of frosting in the middle, and decorated on top with tons (and I mean tons) of candy, fruit, macarons, chocolate, edible flowers...you're only limited to your imagination when it comes to the decor of these cookie cakes!

It really thrives in summer, and gathers all the bugs and butterflies around it, which is a pretty sight every time I go in here! Not to mention it smells heavenly, and can be used in sooo many ways around the home, including some popular recipes and cocktails.
St. Patrick's Day is 'round the corner, and what better appetizer than a creamy houmous, to soak up the lashings of Guinness ?! This is a favorite dip in our house, and makes a welcome appearance on many cocktail parties because it's super easy and quick to make, quite healthy, you can make it a day in advance, and tastes DIVINE! My husband has been know to "drink" the stuff. Neat! So I always make sure I make plenty. And I have a little secret for making it super creamy too!
