So to crown our strawberry season in style, I decided to bake up a storm with this easy but oh-so pretty strawberry and cream layer cake !

When life gives you lemons, sometimes is hard to think about making lemonade. Especially when what you reeeally wanted to begin with, was a huge slice of comforting lemon meringue pie :) If my sweet analogy doesn't really cut the lemon curd (sorry...pun intended.), what I'm trying to say is; we don't always get what we want .
