This will be the my last post of the year. A little sad to be typing that, but also really looking forward to spending some quality time with my family over the Holidays. My sister's coming over from London today, and cousins in the New Year, so not exactly total relaxation for me...But I love the merriment of it all !!

Today is the last day of February and since it's a leap year, I got thinking that a really cute Frog Birthday Party might be a fun theme for any little birthday boy - And of course it reminded me of the very first styled party I created entirely from scratch for my kid's two years ago! The Little Frog printable party collection was one of my early designs, along with my very own matching new fabric designs , first attempt at sugar   cookie decorating , first attempt at party cupcake baking , first attempt at sugar lollipop making...you get the picture. So it holds a very special place in my heart!

Hello and Happy New Year 2012! This is my first post of 2012 here at Bird's Party .  I (Haniela) know we are only in the middle of January  but my head is spinning with  new exciting ideas for this year - I'm thinking Mother's Day, Summer, and even Fall. I can't wait to share some of  my new recipes and baking tips   with you as I hope stop by here more frequently. I promise! Valentine's Day is around the corner and I wanted share with Bird's Party readers  a really yummy treat you can make for your friends, dear ones, children or for yourself. I'm a giver so I gave some to my friend's kids and to my Zumba instructor for her kids.

According to Wikipedia, " Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. " This meaning is exactly what I was lookin for when I styled this table. This feeling of effortless comfort and coziness that our Scandinavian friends are so good at re-creating, is something that really appeals to me at this time of year!
