It's Mardi Gras tomorrow and with St Patrick's Day around the corner, I thought this year I'd make green pancakes to celebrate, 😁 hence these Matcha Green Tea savory pancakes ! My kids love pancakes or French crepes, and in France we often have savory ones when on vacation. They serve them with smoked bacon, cheese and an egg on top so I decided to make savory pancakes for them, which would be awesome for breakfast, brunch, light lunch or snack!
Strawberry Red Velvet and Vanilla Checkerboard Cake
If you follow the blog you probably know how much I love baking and decorating cakes. My love of cakes comes from watching my mom bake every Sunday when I was a child, so baking brings back so many wonderful memories for me! Nowadays, I love to try my hands at different cake decorating techniques, like today's strawberry red velvet and vanilla checkerboard cake . I love how fun it was to make, and it was my first time making a red velvet cake!

Happy New Year to you creative and crafty friends! 🥰✨ There's no better way to kick off the new year in my opinion, than with some good DIY projects, especially when it involves such a therapeutic craft such as pottery or working with clay. Bonus points for doing some recycling in the process, or what I like to call, turning trash into beautiful treasure for your home! 😉
French Almond Frangipane Galette des Rois or Kings Cake Recipe
Epiphany is nearly upon us so I thought I'd share a super delicious, but really easy to make dessert that is so popular this time of year in France - the Galette des Rois or Three Kings Cake ! This is really a tart or pie sort of "cake" that dates back to medieval times, and is meant to celebrate the feast of the three wise men or three kings from the nativity of Christ. The Epiphany feast is held on the 6th of January each year, and this dessert is therefore eaten on this day of course, but folks start enjoying it as early as January 1st in my experience living in France.

DIY Christmas Ornament Baubles Garland
I created this gorgeous and super easy Christmas baubles ornaments garland for my Holiday Cocktails & Appetizers party I shared last week. Did you see it up behind our the bar?! So pretty! Originally, I wanted to make a baubles ornament wreath, but those things look a LOT easier in theory, I tell ya! Have you ever tried making one? Man, they are a pain! Not only you always end up with a lot less baubles than you thought you might need, which means endless trips to the shops to buy more...not to mention they take aaaaages to get looking so full and pretty like you see on Pinterest , and let's not even mention the hot glue burns. Sigh...
Thanksgiving is nearly here, and if you need some quick and easy dessert ideas then this post is for you! I've rounded up my go-to, last-minute, affordable and easy desserts recipes that also have the wow factor without much effort at all! These desserts can be made in advance or at the very last-minute, so be sure to stock up on a few essential ingredients so you can whip them up for any impromptu gathering over the holiday season!
Feta Cheese and Sweet Potato Filo Pastry Samosa Appetizers
Fall is the season for pies, so I thought I'd share these tasty, savory feta cheese and sweet potato samosas or hand-pies, which are the perfect appetizer and ideal for entertaining! My husband cooks most of the time at our house, so this recipe is originally his, but using spinach instead of sweet potato, 'cause he's not a fan 😲 But because he had forgotten to buy the spinach, I snatched his ingredients to make these delicious feta cheese and sweet potato appetizers, because my kids and I LOVE sweet potatoes!
Fig, Prosciutto Ham and Feta Cheese Pizza
Fig season is upon us, and I couldn't pass up the chance to create a delicious recipe using the figs from my garden. Hence this Fig, Prosciutto ham and Feta cheese pizza ! We've had our fig tree for about 5 years now. Last year, the fruits were attacked by bugs before we could enjoy them, so I'm mega happy to be able to harvest anything we can this year. These figs are juicy, plump and super sweet, and although beautiful to eat as is; I decided to add them to a sweet and savory pizza alongside some delicious Prosciutto ham and Feta cheese.
Now that summer's ending, this is the perfect recipe to make the most of those Cantaloupe melons which are still abundantly available, but not quite at their best. A few summers ago, my husband successfully grew cantaloupe melons from seed in our garden, and it's become one of favorite summer fruits! This year we have added it to salads, smoothies, fruit salads...and now, this delicious and refreshing melon lemonade!
It's back to school season, so I thought I'd share so easy DIY craft projects and ideas to help you re-decorate or update your child's homework or study area. The idea is to create a few simple décor pieces that are also practical and help to add a little touch of fun to a child's room, without breaking the bank. AND without spending hours crafting. You're welcome! 😉
This summer I've been making a lot of treats as you can probably tell from aaaall the recipe posts I've been sharing here on the blog 😋 And this tres leches (three milks) ice cream has become my go-to, easy treat to serve on its own or to accompany any dessert (think pies, cakes, fruit salad etc.). This milky and creamy ice cream recipe only requires 3 ingredients, which you probably already have at home, and NO ice cream machine in sight! 👍
Ever since I've shared my yummy strawberries and cream popsicles here on the blog, I've been asked if I can replace the cream with yogurt. So I decided to do just that, and have used Greek Yogurt instead of cream for a lighter, healthier take on these summer treats! Well, I didn't use any strawberries but mango puree instead. You can in fact use any seasonal fruit to make popsicles or frozen lollipops.
Do you change your décor according to the seasons? I love this idea, and sometimes like to change up my décor without spending hours crafting or buying more things. So I tend to shop my home and my crafts stash to find inspiration on how I can update my décor without much time, effort and without breaking the bank!
This recipe came about by accident, sort of. I was looking for a recipe online that I could make to use up all the blackberries I have growing in my garden. Eventually I found a simple enough cheesecake recipe and bought all the ingredients to make it, but on the day I decided to make it, the blackberries were not ripe yet! So, I swapped the blackberries for frozen summer berries (which I always have in the freezer), and it was a hit!
Flowerpot Chocolate Chip Cupcakes with Sugar Paste Flowers
Since we've been sharing some wedding ideas in the last couple of weeks, I thought I'd post these flower pot cupcakes, since they'd be perfect for any wedding or bridal shower you may be planning! My go-to chocolate chip cupcakes are baked directly in small clay pots, then topped with a simple buttercream tinted green to give the illusion of grass, and crowned with handmade sugar paste edible flowers!
