Easter Kids Brunch & DIY Party Ideas

Easter Kids Brunch & DIY Party Ideas with Printables - BirdsParty.com
I styled this Easter Kids Brunch last year for Yum and Food for Kids Magazine. Their Easter issue is out and full of amazing ideas!! And with Easter round the corner, I thought I'd share all the details here on the blog with tips and trick on how you can re-create it at home.
It's a very simple and super colorful table that will wow your little bunnies! But these unique ideas can also be used for the family table too, simply replace the disposable tableware with fancier china.

Easter Kids Brunch: Easter Brunch Tablescape, Printables and Decor

For the styling keep things simple but fun, with the use of some paper printables decorations from Bird's Party. The printables had a pastel color scheme, which perfectly complemented and balanced the vibrant tones of the tableware.

DIY Party Idea

I also made a really simple ribbon chandelier to hang above the table – Simply pin scraps of ribbon to a polystyrene wreath that has been wrapped in colored crepe paper, and hang from the ceiling  using thumb tracks. It adds colors and the wow factor without too much effort!
The table setting was pretty simple and disposable tableware used. Each guests a bunny place-card with their names on, and a cute paper bow to finish the place-setting was tied onto the flatware.
Topiary are not just for Christmas, and this Easter Egg topiary will surely wow the guests. It's child-friendly and edible, providing the ideal Easter decor!
It is also the perfect statement centerpiece for a kid' table, without being too precious. And at the end of the meal, your guests can help themselves to a sweet treat too!

DIY Party Idea

To make the topiary, simply hot glue colorful chocolate Easter eggs in a row to cover a cardboard cone. Fill any gaps with smaller eggs.
Each place setting was finished off with a cute bottle, embellished with colored yarn and wrapped with printable bottle wrappers. Colored paper straws are embellished with printable Easter Bunnies from BirdParty.com

Easter Kids Brunch: Easter Brunch Food

The food here is the epitome of “fun” and doubles as decor and entertainment for guests too!

Sweets Brunch Treats

Let kids play with their food and create their own little Easter bunny pancakes or French toast! Provide the fruit, cream cheese, peanut butter, preserves and other brunch delights, and let guests have fun creating their edible masterpiece!
Another sweet idea is to make your favorite carrot cake recipe and bake it into a cupcake pan, then decorate with cream cheese frosting tinted in various pastel shades. Wrap each cupcake with  a Easter Bunny printable wrappers for added fun!

Savory Brunch Recipe Idea

For the savory part, baked eggs offer the perfect solution to catering for the whole family, as you can prepare all the family's portions ahead and cook them just before serving.
To make the baked eggs, simply line a ramekin with butter bread slices and a table spoon of chopped ham or cheese. Break one egg on top, season to taste and sprinkle with chopped chives. Bake in the over for about 5 minutes or until egg is no longer translucent. Serve with a variety of yummy vegetables or salad goodies ready to be dipped into the egg. For added fun, cut up vegetables using cookie cutters and serve them on sticks, to create an 'edible' little bouquet for each guest to savor!

Easter Kids Brunch: Easter Party Fun and Activities

After brunch, clear the table to make room for some fun crafts! Fill a little basket with craft supplies (glue, child-scissors, headband) and a printable bunny ear template, and let the kids make their own Easter Bunny Ears - These super fun to make and also double as photo props too!
