My daughter has been obsessed with slime for a couple of years now. She's forever watching YouTube videos about making slime at home, buying slime whenever she sees it in the shops, and basically just driving me crazy talking about slime. Can you relate, mamas? 😋 I've always been anti-slime myself. I mean, anything sticky that may cling to your carpet, hair and floors and that involves "wasting" household ingredients like washing-up liquid or flour...didn't spark joy for me. One of my favorite elements of the Party Like Pineapple birthday table was for sure, the balloon and fronds centerpiece! There are tons of Easter egg decoration ideas and DIYs on Pinterest . But to be honest, some of them are just too involved, or not child-friendly or require blowing out eggs (who has time or patience for that?!). So I just came up with the pretties and EASIEST Easter egg decorating technique , using a medium you already have at home - nail polish! ! :)
As you can probably tell from my recent Easter themed posts here on the blog , I'm currently really into pastels. I know it's not a groundbreaking concept for Easter or spring, but there's just something so cheerful and comforting about pastel colors - be it in parties, food or tablescapes. Am I right? Maybe next year I'll choose a more neutral color palette or farmhouse style for my decor, but pastels it is for my mantel decor this year!

This feeling of effortless comfort and coziness that our Scandinavian friends are so good at re-creating, is something that really appeals to me at this time of year!
This year, Christmas at ours will be a little more chilled out and relaxed, so my décor will also be a reflection of that. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year, and after a tough year, I don't want to stress over elaborate décor. So I took my inspiration from nature to start the decorating process, with the styling of my mantel in a neutral farmhouse style . The DIY projects for this décor style are also inexpensive and super easy. Again, reflecting the peaceful and natural atmosphere I want to create at home.
