This recipe is perfect for using up end of season fruit that you may have in abundance. It works great with any kind of melon, and you can spike it up with your favorite tipple, or sparkling lemonade.
It's as delicious as it is easy to make, and perfect for those lazy summer soirees! ;)

Watermelon Granita Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients: Serves 4-6 persons

* 400g of fuit cut into cubes ( I used watermelon)
* 80 ml of sugar syrup or agave syrup
* Melon liquor, muscat wine or sparkling lemonade for an non-alcoholic version

Directions:

In a blender blend the fruit with the sugar syrup. Place in a plastic container with a lid for about 1 hour in the freezer. Every 30 minutes, fork up the crystals. Cover and keep in freezer until set.

To serve, simply top each with your favorite tipple for a refreshing end of summer cocktail - better still, let your guests serve themselves at the bar for added fun! ;)
