Pink & Gold DIY Birthday Party Decor
If you follow the blog for a while, you'll know how much I LOVE paper and handmade party decorations. It's my jam!
I'm always asking myself if I can make it first, before I decide to buy...
So you can imagine how giddy I was when Brother got in touch asking me to create something fun using their P-touch label maker!!
I also did a happy dance when they offered to giveaway one of the machines away here on the blog! :)
Not only it helped me cut my crafting time significantly, but it also is super fun to use!
I'm no tech buff, but got started straight away with my machine, without any problems and LOVED thinking of cute party ideas to use the labels.
My office make-over is waaaay overdue, so the label maker will come in handy for the organizing projects for that too ;)
So let's see what party fun can be made shall we?
Pink & Gold DIY Birthday Party Decor
1) DIY Party straw flags:
Using gold crepe paper and double-sided tape, secure to a cute paper straw. We're using pink and gold palette 'cause I know you guys love it too ;)Print heart shapes using the Brother machine label maker and peel off the sticker paper to attach it to the gold flag. Done!
2) DIY Cake Toppers
Use BBQ stick to poke your cake where you want the toppers to be. We used 3 toppers. Arrange the stick in the cake.Cut pieces of gold paper and scrapbook paper to form the flags and stick to a straw.
Print messages or cute labels using the Brother P-Touch machine. Peel the backing off and stick tot he cake toppers.
Insert straws on top of the skewers to hide them. Trim excess skewer with a pair of scissors or secateurs.
3) DIY Birthday Confetti Card
Take gold card and fold in half to form the base of your card (we used gold). Stick a piece of contrasting color card stock on the front (we used pink).
Take a small cellophane bag and fill with confetti. seal at the back with clear tape.
Make flags with message as in step 1. Peel back of sticker paper (white label Brother paper designed for the P-touch machine) and stick tot he front of the confetti bag.
Stick the confetti bag tot he front of the card using double-sided clear tape.
4) DIY Gift or Favor Tags
Punch or cut a gift tag rectangle from colored card stock.Make a hole in each tag with a hole puncher, and add an eyelet into each hole.
Print your labels as in step 1 above, and thread them through a piece of twine or ribbon.
Tie to favor or gift boxes. Pretty, right?! :)
