Cool Customers: Alice in Wonderland Inspired Mad Hatter Tea Party!

I had been itching to design an Alice in Wonderland Party Collection for aaaages, and when my dear friend Claudia from the Brazilian blog Feito à Mao contacted me regarding her daughter Maria Clara's upcoming 9th Alice in Wonderland "Unbirthday" Party, I could not resist!! :)

This party was featured on our FREE EZINE Spring Issue that you can read here.

Claudia was the first blogger I stumbled upon when I first got started, and I immediately fell in love with her writing style and wonderful party ideas! I am lucky that our friendship has just blossomed, as she's such an inspiration and I can say her creative party ideas and fabulous tutorials are what sparked the "dormant" party animal in me!! :)

The Printable Designs:

When Claudia and I were discussing the details of the party, we were both in agreement that the designs should be as mad as possible, with a lot of colors and the Wonderland and Mad Hatter Teat Party elements like tea cups stacked up, tea pots, crazy pocket watches, and so on.

Inspired by the tea party theme, Claudia decided on a tea bag invitation and I suggested a red fruits tea inside, which she loved! I must say that it makes for fun and whimsical Birthday party invites, that will certainly get your guests talking! :)

The Dessert Tables:

One of my favorite details are these stunning handmade cupcakes! Recipe to come soon ok? The frosting is made with a special sweet paste made from powdered milk that is often used in Brazilian party sweets, as sugar paste fondant is not easy to get hold of -  This fondant has a consistency of sugar fondant, but taste waaaaay better!

Other classics included Brigadeiro in dinky little cups (recipe coming soon too) with "Eat Me" buffet party labels, and fruit juices and sodas in mini-bottles with "Drink Me" buffet party labels - All to reflect the part of the story where Alice grows so tall and everything else is so little! :)

The Party Decor and Props:

Claudia found these stunning little Alice in Wonderland felt patterns from Dear My Kids and they were perfect to help style the tables and bring all the elements together: Alice, Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts and Mad Hatter off course! :)

Together with Claudia's indoor furniture and handmade Mad Hatter Felt Hats, the outdoors party scene was decorated with fresh flowers, tulle butterflies (tutorial here) a playing cards backdrop, paper lanterns and fake grass mats.

The Party favors:
Party favor included some sweet pencil cases with the Alice in Wonderland characters, all tied in pretty paper with a party favor tag from the printable collection.

The printable cupcake toppers were also used in a fun way to decorate homemade cookie pops, which were displayed in a bouquet arrangement to emulate edible flowers!

I hope you all feel inspired for your next Unbirthday Party! :)
And Thank you so much Claudia for sharing your stunning party with us!!
