Styled Shoot: Vintage Snow White Inspired Birthday Party!

I just yesterday saw the trailer for the Snow White movie coming out in April, and it looks soooo fab!! But it also reminded me that I still haven't showed you guys the Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs Inspired Party I designed!!

As much as I love the Disney film and designs, I much prefer a more "vintage" look so I gave these printables a nice twist with some soft pastels and earthy colors to bring out the whimsical side of this classic fairy tale! Hope you like it! :)

Party Printables and Styling:

For the styling I wanted to re-create a mini woodland scene where Snow White and her friends would hang out, to emulate the printable party invites designs.

For the mini apple trees, I glued some topiary balls to a couple of logs to make them look like trees, then simply attached some fake berries (from my Christmas tree) to the balls to look like apples.

For the table backdrop I used a wooden frame from a charity store that I had sprayed red, then attached the printable party sign "The Fairest of Them All"' to the back of the frame. To complete the backdrop, I hung up the printable bunting also from the collection.

The tablecloth was a piece of polka dot fabric from my local fabric store sat on top of a dark green fabric for contrast. The edges were gathered into a ruffle and pinned with a burgundy satin ribbon to match the one used to decorate the cake.

The party icons of Snow White, the Dwarfs and the woodland creatures were hot glued onto paper circles to make them sturdy to sit on the table. This gave the tabletop some nice 3D look, and made the tabletop look more like a woodlands!

Party Food and Candy:

For the main centerpiece, I chose a nice marbled-frosting cake from my local bakery and simply decorated it with a burgundy satin ribbon and a mini apple (from my daughter's toy box!).

The caramel apples were homemade and I decorated the sticks with patterned polka dot scrapbook papers from the printable collection, and the homemade chocolate-bark cupcakes were also decorated with printable party toppers from the collection.

We also had some delicious and so stunning chocolate-covered Oreos from Sweet Temptations! They matched the designs of the party printables (polka dots) perfectly!

Part Favors:

For favor I had the idea of having mini play food, and so  asked my mega-talented friend Cheryl from The Green Hedgehog to create some mini felt basket with felt apples inside.

They not only looked fabulous decorating the table, but made for great party bags too! Along with the felt toys, I included artisan lollipops (embellished with party favor tags) and some jars of apple-fizz candies that I decorated with scrapbook paper and printable cupcake toppers from the collection.
