Hi, it's Christine over at Pure Joy Events, back to share a clever way to "dress up" pie in a jar for Father's Day. All you need is an old tie, an elastic cord, and a white paper napkin! Read on for the details...

Step 1:  Take the thin end of the tie and fold it over about 4 inches from the bottom. From the back side, pinch a quarter from the top, then make a few stitches to secure.

Step 2:  Snip off the excess fabric.

Step 3:  Cut the elastic cord to fit around the neck of the jar. Loop it through the top of the tie. Then tie the cord and hide the ends.

Step 4:  Wrap the cord around the neck of the jar. For the collar, cut a strip from the napkin and tuck it over the elastic cord.

If you really want to get fancy, make a flag out of the left over fabric and print out "Dad, you're sweeter than pie". For the complete recipe on how to make pie in a jar, go to Pure Joy Events.
