Pumpkin Spice Halloween Coffee Syrup Recipe
Halloween is not just for little children. Yes, us big kids also enjoy the whole dressing up and spooky fun to be had. BUT, the whole candy extravaganza might not appeal to all, and this is where today's post comes in super handy!
I love coffee and still have a sweet tooth, so what better than a homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup to get me all in the mood for Halloween, without fear of breaking the scales after too much candy?! :)
Oh, and they make perfect party favors and non-candy Halloween gifts too!
Pumpkin Spice Halloween Coffee Syrup Recipe
Ingredients: (Makes about 2 1/4 cups of syrup)* 1 1/2 cups water
* 1 1/2 cups sugar
* 4 cinnamon sticks or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
* 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree
* Air tight bottles
* Raffia
* Printable bottle wrappers, scrapbook papers and Halloween gift tags
* Scissors and Double sided tape

Recipe Directions:
1) Heat the water and sugar over a medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
2) Stir in the remaining ingredients. Turn down the heat to medium-low and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently without letting it boil.
3) Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve (or coffee filter).
4) Pour the strained syrup into sterilized bottles with a lid
5) Print the tags and wrappers according to instructions and embellish your bottles: add a printable Halloween gift tag with raffia, add a lid seal made from scrapbook papers, and finish off by wrapping the bottle with the printable bottle wrappers and securing at the back with tape.

To make a Halloween Pumpkin Spice Latte: Simply add 1 1/2 tablespoons of syrup to a shot of hot espresso then add milk. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon. Add a piece of cinnamon bark embellished with a printable Halloween cupcake topper to act as a stirrer. Drink before the clock strikes midnight, or you'll turn into a pumpkin!
