Make Your Own Witch's Brew aka Pumpkin Spice Hot Cocoa Mix




This witch has been brewing...Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolates that is!!
The weather really caught us by surprise on the weekend, and the chilly days seem to have arrived out of nowhere  and with a vengeance! So what's a witch to do?!! Concoct a yummy brew for her little goblins, did you say?! :)

The fun thing is, making a big batch of these hot cocoa mixes and decanting them into little cute jars, makes the prefect last minute NON-CANDY Halloween party favor or gift! Get the recipe below:


Pumpkin Spice Hot Cocoa Mix Ingredients:

* 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder ( I use Nestlé or Van Houten)
* 1 1/4 cups milk powder
* 1 teaspoon cornstarch 
* 3/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (I made my own by mixing 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg)
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* Granulated Sugar (to taste)
* Sugar edible eyes (optional)
* Air-tight jar + printable bottle labels




Making your Witch's Brew Hot Cocoa Mix:

1) Sift all the ingredients together in a large bowl. 
2) Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and decorate with 




3) Making the hot chocolate: Add 3 Tbsp of the cocoa mix (per person) into a saucepan, 
then add the milk. Heat until frothy and slightly more unctuous. 
4) Sprinkle with sugar eyes or mini marshmallows if desired. Bottoms up! :)
