Mother's Day DIY Color Pop Tablescape
POP is what I "hear" when I see the vibrant colors in this tablescape.
So Color Pop is what I'm calling this table style.
Hope you enjoy the pom-tastic ideas and feel inspired to re-create for Mother's Day...or any fun occasion or party.
It's pretty easy to pull off, and totally fuss-free! What's not to love?!
Mother's Day Tablescape - Styling Ideas & Color Palette
My inspiration came from a super cute outfit I was gifted by my darling friend Brenda from Great Stitch for my little bunny girl. It was blue with pink details. And a fluffy pompom bunny tail. How adorbs is that?!
That, and a super cool pompom-gadget I acquired recently in my trip to the craft stores (more on that later..).
So I kept seeing poms everywhere I looked. Which pretty much meant that the party color palette and table theme were sorted - pretty pastels, polka-dots and POMS!
But I wanted it to POP. Hence the bright hues of yellow, teal and fuchsia pink.
I made all the pompoms with my little girl, and will be back later in the week to show you how.
They make super fab fashion accessories!
But basically the poms stole the show. And once I started pompom-ing, there was no turning back!
These little cuties make great napkin ring embellishments, hair accessories (as you see in the photos), favor tags adornments...
If you can name it, chances are, you can put a pompom on it!
Mother's Day Tablescape - The Table Centerpiece
The poms also inspired me to reach for an easy centerpiece, that's quick, fuss-free and kid-friendly.
Even if you don't have any of your own, some of the moms on the table might.
And since this is Mother's day after all...
So I turned to my total current-party-crush - honeycomb balls!!
We just got a stock in for the EU shop and with 9 colors to choose from, they looked perfect as a centerpiece. Like huge pompoms, don't you think?!
And they can be used again. Bonus point right there!
In between the honeycomb balls, I added single stems of Gerbera daisies in fuchsia pink to match the color of the balls. They're really inexpensive and go a long way. AND they lasted over 2 weeks!
Mother's Day Tablescape - Place Setting Ideas
Couple with white plates and colorful napkins, each place setting was adorned with fluffy pompom magnets that double-duty as take-away favors!
I made these the night before with my pom-gadget.
But high-five if you can get your little minions to help you make them.
Goes twice as fast, and doubles the fun! ;)
As a nibble while we wait for brunch or lunch, or for afters...I had pastel-colored sugar almonds in each place-setting, displayed in our cute baking cups. In bright yellow of course to make it POP.
Sorry, can't stop saying it POP. In capitals. I get pleasure out of the simplest things...
Mother's Day Tablescape - Party Favors & Gifts
Like I said, the pompom magnets are pretty cool as a DIY gift to place in those polka-dot cute favor boxes. Making them was the fun part, so I guess a make-your-own-pompom kit with some yearn, would also be a great gift for mom?!
But anything goes, really.
A couple of color POP nail polishes.
Cake POP bites.
Make your own POPcorn kit.
Even a can of POP if you're stuck for ideas.
Just make sure it POPs!
Add a pom and cute printable labels to the boxes and you're done!

Mother's Day Tablescape - Party Attire
Since the inspirations for the theme was that cute outfit, my bunny looked extra festive for the occasion with a head full of poms. You can't get fluffier than that!
With the left-over pompoms we also made magnets, brooches and hair-clips.
And I plan to make a necklace too, 'cause I loved it so much!
So there, hope you get inspired too to make something fluffy for your mom!
And be sure to POP back later in the week for a cool DIY gift you can make in time for Mother's Day ;)
