A Frozen Inspired Birthday Party
Every little girl I know is obsessed with Frozen, and to my own delight, I got to style a Frozen inspired birthday party this winter!
This season offers the perfect occasion to go all out and create a magical frosted wonderland to celebrate a little princess birthday, using Bird's Party new printable collection “Ice Princess”, which is perfect for this theme!
Today I'm sharing the main desserts table, the party favors and DIY decorations we created for this party. But more goodies and DIY tutorials coming here to the blog in the next couple of weeks, so be sure to subscribe here, so you don't miss a thing! 😉
A Frozen Inspired Birthday Party - Printables & DIY Décor
My daughter is also quite mad about this theme ever since the film came out, so she helped me with lots of creative suggestions. It may have involved watching the film a few times. But hey, it was all in name of research. 😊 I love when kids are the inspiration for the parties I style!
For the main desserts table, we wanted to re-create the Frozen scenery, but with ease! So we turned to a large printable backdrop design of the castle, which we printed as A0 size. It was such and easy way to create an instant, jaw-dropping backdrop, and the print can also be used for photo booths and to decorate your child's bedroom after the party!
On either side of the backdrop, we hung some tasseled honeycomb ball decorations from BirdsParty.fr to complete the frozen look. Check out more details in this post.
We used the printable stationery and decorations to decorate the main desserts table and also a super fun cupcake fondue station, which doubled as party activities for the girls!
A Frozen Inspired Birthday Party - Food & Drinks
Despite the amazing details, this was such an easy party to style and organize, since the cupcake fondue idea allowed us to concentrate mainly on the decorations, leaving the food decor to the guests 😉
For the chocolate fondue station we served the plain cupcakes and the girls had tons of fun decorating their tasty creations! Details coming later in the week.
Each place setting had a cute ice cream tub, filled with vanilla meringues for the girls to take home as favors. We wrapped a free printable Olaf wrapper (coming to the blog soon!) for the cute, Frozen inspired detail.
The table was also decorated with a 3D printable centerpiece of castle, and we hung a couple of silhouette frames on the wall behind the table. Simple, yet super adorable!
On the main desserts table we had to have an Elsa doll cake! It has been a dream of mine to bake one of these cakes since I was 10 (yep!), and I was so happy I got the chance to make one! I love how it turned out, and it sure was the wow factor of the table. Full tutorial coming here soon.
As far as drinks, we served milk that was a perfect pairing for the yummy chocolate cupcake station. We wrapped each bottle with a “melted snow” wrapper. We all know that water is melted snow, but we always allow ourselves a little poetic license when it comes to kids parties 😋
A Frozen Inspired Birthday Party - Candy Station & Party Favors
We also set up a mini candy station on the table, so the girls could fill their snowflake goodie bags before leaving the party, which made for such a fun and easy party favor for all!
A Frozen Inspired Birthday Party - DIY Party Photo Booth
No party of mine is ever complete without a photo booth. It's a such a fun way to capture memories!
After cutting the cake, the girls got to sit down to do some crafts by decorating their own princess tiaras and crown, and helping to make the photo booth props. We used printable templates from BirdsParty.com and party straws. I love it when a party activity also has a practical side 😉
More photo booth details coming to the blog soon!
