DIY No-Sew Velvet Pumpkins
I've been obsessed with velvet pumpkins since I first saw them on Pinterest last year. But they can be quite expensive to buy online...so for my Thanksgiving tablescape this year, I went on a mission to make my own!
There are several ways to make these gorgeous velvet pumpkins, but being the speedy crafter that I am, I embarked on a NO-SEW project to make my velvet pumpkins, and at a fraction of the retail price! 😍

I did first try sewing them by hand, but got quickly frustrated and impatient at the amount of time it was taking...plus, I'd needed to somehow find real pumpkin stems to make them look realistic. And that was no easy task.I used these paper maché pumpkins a couple of years ago for another project, and they worked beautifully in my no-sew velvet pumpkin project!
I chose jewel toned colors for my velvet fabric in orange, petroleum blue and mustard yellow/gold. But once again, it's totally up to you what color of velvet you choose for this project.
Or, you could even use scraps of fabric you may already have at home like fleece or wool!
I think next year I may try to make them in different colors, like burgundy and pink too! How fab would that look?!
