Halloween for my family has always been about the fun costumes, snuggling up on the sofa while watching movies, and eating candy.
So although Halloween may look a little different this year, we'll still just see it as an excuse to snuggle up on the sofa to watch fun movies...and eat lots of candy! 😁

Cute DIY Halloween Throw Pillows
Truth be told, I've never been big at decorating for Halloween or Fall.
With Christmas around the corner, and with it being my absolute favorite holiday of the year, I've always just tended to jump from summer straight to Christmas. 🤷♀️
Despite creating a lot of Halloween content to share here on the blog, I'd much rather have a quiet night in than go out in the cold "Trick or Treating" air. But that's just me...
So even though everyone is staying home this Halloween, that doesn't mean you can't spend some great quality time with the kiddos creating memories together. And eating lots of candy, of course Did I mention that? 😂
These cute Halloween throw pillows are great to help you decorate for a Halloween movie night in. They also make the cutest accent cushions in your bedroom, and are also a fun craft activity to do with the kids on Halloween night!
Just add a few of your favorite candies, cookies and milk to your soiree for a fun treats night. No tricks! 😉
My daughter loved these cute accent pillows, and intends on leaving them in her bedroom for a little while past Halloween. I don't blame her! 😍
I should also mention that these Halloween throw pillows can be made to any size you like, and using any material you have on hand. Just scale up the templates, and voila!
I personally used felt to make these pillows because I love working with felt. It's a very tactile, warm material used as a cushion or pillow fabric.

Cute DIY Halloween Throw Pillows
Yield: 2 pillows

Cute DIY Halloween Throw Pillows - easy decorative ghost and bat accent pillows to make at home! It's a great Halloween craft activities to make with older kids too!
materials:
- Cute ghost and bat printable templates
- 2x A3 sheet of black felt for bat cushion
- 2x A4 sheets of white felt for ghost cushion
- black embroidery and regular cotton thread
- white embroidery and regular cotton thread
- cushion stuffing
tools:
- scissors
- fabric pen or chalk
- needle
steps:
- Draw the templates onto felt and cut twice.
- Draw face of bat and ghost, then embroider the face details with needle and embroidery thread of contrasting color to the felt.
- Place the cut pieces of felt with the right facing the right side, then sew a running stitch all along the edge with a 1cm or 1/2 inch seam allowance. Leave an opening for turning your cushion inside out.
- Make slits along the seam allowance, then turn cushion right side out and fill with cushion stuffing.
- Sew the opening with a ladder or invisible stitch.
