Farmhouse Trash To Treasure DIY Décor for Spring
DIY Galvanized Farmhouse Vases
My first DIY trash to treasure décor were these cool galvanized flower vases.
I'm really into the galvanized look for a modern farmhouse style, and it seemed like the perfect treatment for some metal cans I had been hoarding for ages!
I added a pretty rustic stencil to the front, and voila!
I love how these tuned out, and can't wait to style them with different florals for each season! 🥰

DIY Farmhouse Spring Wreath
This Spring wreath I created started off its life as a broken lampshade that was heading to the trash!
We couldn't fix it, and I ended up rescuing the metal hoops to create pretty wreaths with the spoils! 😉
I saved the larger metal hoop for another occasion, and used the smaller one to DIY a simple, but oh-so pretty wreath to decorate my mantel.

DIY Farmhouse Amber Glass Candle Holders
Now, we all have these glass yogurt pots at home, am I right?
I have been collecting them for ages and had about 12 or so sitting in my studio, waiting to be transformed.
You could of course use these mini glass yogurt pots as candle holders just as they are. But I thought decided to make them little more in-keeping with my modern farmhouse style, and paint them an amber color.
At first, I saw a DIY on Pinterest about using PVA glue mixed with paint. I tried, and must say it was a HUGE fail!
The candle holders looked streaky, and dried mat. Looked so awful...I do not recommend it at all. Plus, the glue was a little patchy, and some of the candle holders started to peel off. Not pretty!
So I bought a proper glass paint for around 7 dollars. I painted all my 12 candle holders and have more than half the pot still left, so it's not at all expensive.

DIY Farmhouse Trash To Treasure Signs
For the farmhouse signs I created, I used cardboard and the back of a photo frame that I had at home from a previous craft project.
I also used wooden paint stirrers to frame both my signs, and I love how they turned out!
This was such a quick and easy project, and I can't wait to create more signs this way to decorate each season!
