Do you change your décor according to the seasons? I love this idea, and sometimes like to change up my décor without spending hours crafting or buying more things.
So I tend to shop my home and my crafts stash to find inspiration on how I can update my décor without much time, effort and without breaking the bank!
And for summer, there's nothing better than a little splash of yellow to bring the sunshine indoors instantly, right? Here are a few easy ideas I put together for a brand photo shoot a while back, which I wanted to share with you.
Easy Summer Décor & Tablescape Ideas
These easy summer décor and tablescape ideas are perfect if you have a small budget, small space or are pushed for time.
The brand colors were blue and yellow, so those are the colors I chose.
I basically shopped my home for accessories like planters or vases, candles, linen and tableware to match the summer sunshine style I was aiming for.
Of course, if you're not a lifestyle blogger, you may not have as much "junk" 😁 in your home as I do!
But you can still keep costs down by shopping your own home and also thrift stores; my go-to favorite places to shop for inexpensive accents pieces that can help you change up the look and décor of a room in a flash!
Then I complemented the décor with yellow and blue accent pieces like lanterns, vases and books wrapped in colored paper.
Another great tip that can keep costs low and is super easy to achieve, is to change cushion or pillow covers, and table linens and throws!
This is probably my favorite tip when re-decorating on a budget!
Like with my tableware, I like to invest in colors or pieces that can be easily re-purposed or re-used with other colors or mixed and matched with other décor styles.
Flowers and plants are also a great option to give texture and life to any space you may be styling! I like to keep my costs low by mixing faux and real flowers, blooms and foliage.
Other really versatile décor pieces are candle holders and vases. you can pretty much instantly change the décor by swapping out the type and color of candles and plants inside your vessels!
Photo frames can also be super inexpensive when it comes to adding instant flair to any décor or room!
They are so easy to style by changing up their contents - Don't just think photos, but also black and white images, postcards, magazine photos, pressed flowers, printed signs etc.
In this example, I used a gold photo frame with a piece of yellow cardstock inside to add a huge pop of yellow to my mantel. Easy and unexpected, not to mention super budget-friendly! 😉
These décor ideas can be easily applied to any space in your home, whether you're getting your patio or terrace ready for summer entertaining, or setting a pretty table for your weekend brunch!

Your tablescape looks so pretty! I love the color combination, the pop of yellow with the soothing aqua. I created a similar combo on my end of summer patio makeover, teal & coral. I think my readers would really enjoy this. I'd love for you to come share on my link parties Happiness is Homemade & Traffic Jam Weekend. You can also share on You're the Star Blog Hop if you don't already. I love your fireplace/mantel as well!
