Neutral Modern Farmhouse Easter DIY Décor
This year, I'm not doing a huge Easter table like I usually do. Instead, I'm slowing down and focusing more on simplicity, on recycling and up-cycling what I already have on hand to create my décor.
Don't know about you, but I'm so over the OTT parties and home decorations! 😉
So, I hope you enjoy these easy, DIY craft projects and tiered tray styling ideas, which are great to add a simple but pretty touch of spring to your Easter tablescape or home!
DIY Modern Farmhouse Easter Décor
You may have seen last year, the DIY tiered tray that I made using recycled fruit boxes? You can see the full video here.
I basically used that same tiered tray as the base or centerpiece of my Easter décor this year.
I styled this tiered tray in a modern farmhouse look, but you can of course, change up the style, colors and décor to suit your own interiors, celebrations and seasons!
This modern farmhouse décor is currently sitting on a dining table, but some of the DIY craft projects I created can totally be used around the home.
For instance, you could use the little flower vases all year round to decorate bedside tables, a shelf, mantel or any corner of your home.
The wooden beads and decoupage wooden egg can also be used to decorate a shelf or mantel too.
As always, I recommend shopping your home or current décor or props stash (we all have one of those, right? 😉) when it comes to styling any table centerpiece or tiered tray.
All you need is a little creativity and imagination to transform an existing item into something seasonal for various occasions or celebrations.
Once again, feel free to play with colors and patterns to match your own taste and home style!
The first thing I did when styling my tiered tray, was to pick a color palette and style. Since I really like the modern farmhouse style, I went with it.
For my color palette, I chose black, white and grey, since my tiered tray was grey. I also added touches of wood to keep things a little more rustic and give it some texture and warmth.
Once I had a rough idea of color and style, I grouped together florals, crafts supplies and décor pieces I had at home that would fit my vision.
Then I arranged all the large items on the tray first, and adjusted their positions and set up until I was pleased with the result.
Once I knew what pieces I'd be using in my décor, I then went about creating a couple of easy craft projects to embellish my tiered tray.
DIY Easter Beaded Garland
The first DIY project was to create simple beaded garland using wooden beads and some Easter hanging decorations.
You can see the full DIY on the video below.
DIY Buffalo Check Easter Egg
I also already had at home a couple of wooden eggs at home from a local craft store, and I decided to cover them with a buffalo check pattern.
Next up, I simply embellished a couple of little greenery vases with seasonal floral to match my color palette.
You could totally use real flowers too, but I was trying to make this evergreen, and also trying to spend a dime! 😉
DIY Rae Dunn Inspired Easter Sign
Last but not least I made the Rae Dunn inspired Happy Easter sign to complete my Easter tiered tray décor.
