Have you ever been tempted to go monochrome for Halloween? I did last year , and totally loved it! Monochrome is sleek, is chic and is one of the Fall color trends for 2013. What's not to love?! I think this palette is really easy to pull together (think mummies, spiders, bats, crows...) and really helps to add an air of  grown-up sophistication to Halloween festivities. Halloween is not just about 'orange'. And this week we have some pretty spook-tacular color schemes that look just as eerie and super fun!!  The palette of green and black just screams " Frankenstein " to me, and here are some pretty fabulous finds I've been pinning, to help inspire a green-hued monster of a bash ! ;)

I think the whole Monster High phenomenon really has had a big part to play in all the trending pink Halloween (or Pink-o-Ween) parties we see emerging everywhere. The fact Halloween also falls in the Pink October month, makes pink the ideal color for this spooky holiday! If you would have seen my (Tess) face yesterday as we drove out of the city and into the country for the afternoon, you would have thought the barrister slipped in a little something extra into my London Fog. On our way out the the pumpkin farm, the high-rises of our neighborhood were quickly replaced with row after row of golden-leafed trees. Maybe it's because I've lived in the city for a while now, but I had no idea I could ever be so excited about fall foliage. The beautiful colors of fall were captured in these Fall Leaf Mini Cakes .

When deciding on a Halloween costume, we always gravitate towards the fun aspect. But as a mom to two young kids, I'm also thinking, is it warm enough to go out trick or treating?!  Which means I was beyond excited to find the snugly and lush Halloween outfits from Pottery Barn Kids !  And guess what?! Parents needn't feel left out, 'cause they do matching grown-up (and even pets!) costumes too! ;)
