Bird's Tutorials Mother's Day
My Mother's Day Color POP tablescape was inspired by pompoms.
And I can tell you we pompom-ed the heck out of everything. And I mean, E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.
Turns out pompoms are really versatile.
Think napkin rings, cute gift and favor packaging embellishments, headbands, jewelry...and even fridge magnets!
I LOVE the idea of decorative place-setting decor that also double-duties as a practical favor!
We used a pompom loom that cost nothing at all, and made tons of pompoms really quickly with my seven year old. And clearly, fun was had by all, especially me!
So...it turns out pompom-making can also be a great activity to make for and with mom!
And there's nothing I want to do more than to spend time with my little minions on Mother's Day! :)
We do plan to come back share the full DIY pompom tutorial soon (my video editing software packed up, and I haven't installed a new one...).
But you can also make these with store bought pompoms?!
Or use your hands to loop the yarn around.
Either way, pompoms will rock your world! :)
Here are some cute pompom easy and quick DIY craft ideas that are totally kid-friendly!
* Pompoms of various colors and sizes
* Magnetic sticky tape (or hot glue gun and magnets, but obviously kids need to ask adults to glue it on)
Cut tape, peel backing and stick to the pompoms. Easy as pom!
Pompoms make fab jewelry, hair clips, brooches...
Just take out your hot glue gun and stick them on!
Adult supervision required when handling the gun gun.
But don't just stop at the gift making!
Why not pompom-ify the packaging too?!
Stick them onto gift boxes, favors and party bags for added flair!
