Okay, so we're all settled now into a back to school or back to work routine.
But are you like me, still on summer body-clock time, and feeling like "I need my pillow" every morning?

Well, it may be we need something healthy and exciting to kick start our day!

Lately I have peaches on my mind, and I ain't making any excuses for posting food related posts twice in a row. Sometimes, that's the way the cookie crumbles...

To be frank, come end of summer; I have so many peaches from our trees, that I have no choice but to incorporate them in everything I make. And again, no complaints here! ;)

Of course, it's a good thing; because you can never go wrong with fruit as a healthy and quick snack. So I throw it into EVERYTHING!

Be it a filling smoothie, porridge, a breakfast muffin (that you make ahead on the weekend) or a even as a side to a protein-packed baked omelet!

Of course, fruits make great juices and smoothies and hence, portable breakfasts for extra busy days!

So when pushed for time, pack something healthy the night before, or freeze your fruity combos for the entire week into clear zip lock bags or a mason jar. Then just grab from the freezer and dump it  all into a blender with some milk, yogurt or both.

Drink at once...or decant into a portable mug/bottle, for savoring on the way to school/work or later in the morning when your metabolism is kicking in.

My current favs, not to mention super easy, quick and mega healthy recipes; are smoothie bowls.
I posted another recipe here - just as yum!

Healthy Breakfast Choices for Busy Days

Some other healthy recipe ideas currently on my breakfast menu:

Banana & chocolate muffins - baked with yogurt and wholewheat flour. And yes, cocoa powder IS healthy! ;)
Frozen fruit & yogurt roll ups - that you can freeze and eat straight from the freezer!
Oatmeal pancakes - all the ingredients are chucked in a blender (can't get easier than that!)
Dairy-free fruit smoothie drinks using cashew milk
Microwave scrambled eggs with veggies - perfect for those who prefer a savory breakfast. I add more whites for a when I want a lower calorie option.
