Lavender & Peach Champagne Cocktail Recipe
If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, you'd have seen how beautiful and lush the lavender I have growing around in the studio garden!
Every time I go in there, I HAVE to stop and smells the scents in the air! Just dreamy...
It's such a generous plant, and to me, synonymous with summer. So much so that I decided to pair it with peaches and incorporate it in a cocktail recipe that celebrates the best this season has to offer!
Lavender has calming properties and 'round these parts we also dry them to place in a jar of sugar for baking (delish!), or make the popular dry lavender sachets for placing in closets to keep clothes smelling fresh but also keep moths away. Really, it's a miracle plant, don't you think?!
If you've never tried lavender in cooking, don't be alarmed. It pairs really well with white chocolate, fruits and honey. You just have to ensure you use organic, edible lavender ok?! ;)
This cocktail recipe is so each to make and perfect for summer soirees and parties!
The lavender I' using for this recipe comes from my own garden, so I am 100% that it's organic and safe to eat.
IMPORTANT: You can purchase edible lavender in health or organic food shops. Be sure to ask them if it's edible though! Also, pregnant women or anyone allergic to pollen or flowers, or with weak immune systems should refrain from eating flowers. Ask medical advice if you're not sure whether you can eat flowers.
