My Pink & Copper Christmas Party
Millennial pink is a super hot trend right now, and paired with the cool metallic shine from copper accents, makes for a festive and oh-so girly table, whatever the occasion.
So my heart dictated the choice of colors for our Christmas table this year! Check out the prettiness below.
My Pink and Copper Christmas Party - Tablescape Styling and DIY Decor
Truth be told, I've been wanting to style a pink Christmas party ages before blush pink became so hot (check out this pink Christmas Pinterest board I created a while back...).
So blush pink and copper it is, my sweet heart!
With lots of creative DIY details, recipes and styling ideas, I hope it can also inspire you for your own celebrations!
DIY Pink Cotton Candy Place Mats
Okay, so these place mats are not really made of cotton candy, but they sure remind me of the sweet stuff, because they're made of a fleece/furry type of fabric.
Initially, I wanted proper faux pink fur for them, but settled for this easier fabric that cut like a dream and didn't fray!
DIY Pink and Glitter Monogram Napkin Bows
Next on my DIY list were these cute napkin bows! Aren't they super pretty for a girly table like this one?
I wanted to add some blush pink napkins and perhaps use some ornaments as place-markers. But then I made these glitter napkins rings, and the ornaments idea just didn't fit right.
So, off to plan B, I chose to add copper craft letters to each napkin, which doubled as a monogram place-setting! Cute or what?! If you have two guests with he same initial, simply add a another letter for the surname.
DIY Copper Sequin Wreaths
For the wall behind my table I wanted something simple but eye catching!
So I thought of these sequined copper wreaths! They are a cinch to make, and added the right amount of glitz and glam and shine and pretty to my table backdrop!
You could also use tinsel or other ribbon to match your table colors.
DIY Pink and Copper Ornaments Table Centerpiece
There's nothing quicker, I tell you, than pretty ornaments running down the center of your table! Bonus that these were diamond and geometric shapes and had pretty, shiny pink and copper finishes to them to add a little brightness and sparkle to the table!
I also added some of our honeycomb pink baubles to add another texture and vary the sizes of the the decor pieces.
To complete the centerpiece, I used simple pink votive candles wrapped in copper metal tape, and blush pink taper candles. Couldn't be simpler!
HOSTESS TIP: Because of all the paper decor on the table, for a real party, I'd actually suggest placing the votive candles inside mini glass candle holders to avoid any accidents!
Pink and Copper Table Place Settings
Besides our cute bow napkins/place-markers we used beautiful copper flatware and simple wine glasses, paired with our gorgeous copper mugs from our friends at Knooop, decorated with DIY pink stars drink stirrers.
These mugs add such a pretty copper touch to any table and help add shine, which is always welcome!
For the drink stirrers we used pink glitter star ornaments and glued them to the top of our pink straws! So cute, right? 😍

Pink Cranberry Christmas Cake and DIY Cake Topper
No pink Christmas party would be complete without a pink Christmas cake, right?
I made this tasty cranberry cake with lashings of drippy Mascarpone pink frosting! SO yum!
Watch out for the recipe coming to the blog soon!
For the adorable cake topper, I simply took a gold Christmas tree ornament that read "Merry Christmas" and glued wooden BBQ sticks to the back. I then inserted two cute blush pink straws to hide the sticks, and voila! One darn cute topper to embellish any holiday cake, homemade or shop-bought!
Pink and Copper Christmas Bar
In the studio's dining room, I have this cute window seat that I always try to embellish and make a feature of in my shoots. So for this Christmas pink and copper party, I made it into a bar area with a cozy seating part.
But you could totally use a conventional bar or table on the side to prep drinks and nibbles for your guests! It's such a fun and interactive way to serve drinks to your guests for any party!
Of course, we stuck to the party color palette of pink and copper, and decorated it with honeycomb Christmas trees, candles and baubles.
There you have it, all the juicy details to pull off a pretty in pink Christmas party! I hope you enjoyed the ideas and feel inspired for your own celebrations!

I want to sit down at this table. It's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a dazzling and bewitching concoction to welcome guests for the holidays! I wouldn't have thought that pink and copper would lend itself so well to holiday entertaining - and super contemporary styling at that! - but, wow!, it sure does! I don't think it's 'girly' - it's just fun and colorful and playful and extremely welcoming. It makes you want to sit down at that table and laugh and hear tales of travel and shopping and worst-dates-ever stories!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great tips - this was a great read - and beautiful photos.
Oh, and belatedly, happy Pink Saturday!
This is so pretty! I love the untraditional colors for Christmas and these are the prettiest I've seen. I love all the baubles down the center of the table.
