A Back to School Pancake Bar

A pancake bar is such a fun and easy way to serve breakfast or brunch for any event, whether you're planning a baby shower, bridal event, or a simple back to school celebration at home with your kids!
A Back to School Pancake Bar
This year, both my kids are attending the same school, so it'll be less of a mad morning commute for us. And that my friends, is reason enough to celebrate! Hello, twenty more extra minutes in bed! 😉
So, we're celebrating alright, with a tasty pancake bar as a fun, first-day-of-school breakfast treat. But, by all means, you could totally extend the celebrations to after school snacks too!
Since this is meant to be a special treat for the kids, I included some Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks as part of the pancake bar fixings. They are made with real fruit, delivering the delicious taste that my kids and I love!
Plus, they help make the cutest pancake faces, don't you think? And yes, playing with your food is totally acceptable for this fun back to school party! :)
These Welch’s Fruit ‘n Yogurt Snacks are my go-to snack choice for back to school lunchboxes or snacks at home. I also love to toss a couple of pouches into my purse, so the whole family can enjoy this delicious snack on the go!
Pancake Bar Decor
For the decor of our pancake bar, I kept things simple with a pink and blue color scheme inspired by the Welch's Fruit 'n Yogurt Snacks packaging, but you could tailor it to your event colors of course. Come to think of it, wouldn't this be such a fun theme for a gender reveal baby shower too?!
Our disposable tableware helped to tie in the look, which is super practical for clean up after the party.
The cute party straws for our milk bottles got a quick embellishment of ribbons to match our stack of tasty pancakes in the center of the table. I love when food doubles as a centerpiece, don't you?!
Pancake Bar Food and Drinks
I made the pancakes for this breakfast bar myself, but you could totally buy them ready-made or use a pancake batter mix to make life easier!
Alongside our tasty, fluffy pancakes we served some of my kids' favorite fixings:
• Welch's Fruit 'n Yogurt snacks in Strawberry, Cherry and Blueberry flavors – can be found at grocery stores throughout the US and at Walmart
• strawberries
• blueberries
• cherries
• peanut butter
• almonds
• shredded coconut
• chocolate chips
• chocolate spread
• natural Greek yogurt
To wash it all down I served milk in cute milk bottles for the retro touch, and fresh orange juice.
Like I said, this is the perfect back to school breakfast or after school snack treat that your kids are sure to love!
