Flamingos are my latest obsession . I think it's mainly due the fact that it's the perfect summer party theme. And that they're pink, of course! Not sure they'd be such a hit if they were a different color ;) So for our flamingo pool party last weekend , we (my 8 year old daughter and I) made some DIY flamingo table decorations and headbands that double duty as photo booth props!

Much like pineapples , Flamingos have been trending on the party scene for a couple of years now. And I for one, have been totally itching to style a pink flamingo party FOR EVER! Well, last weekend, we got to do just that. I say “we”, because my little girl and I got to plan it together! :) If you follow my snaps (username BirdsParty) you'll have seen all the party prep and sneak peeks of the party itself!

One of my favorite elements of the  Party Like Pineapple birthday table was for sure, the balloon and fronds centerpiece! Originally, I wanted to hang a balloons garland above the dessert and drinks station, but when I was making it on the dining table, I realized it would make a fab tropical centerpiece ! And so a new idea was born!
