DIY Metallic Gold Geometric Cake Stand

DIY Metallic Gold Geometric Cake Stand - BirdsParty.com

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Gorilla Glue Company. All opinions are 100% mine.

We've seen geometric decorations on the party scene for a couple of years now. And coupled with metallic colors, you really can't be more on trend when it comes to styling your party table tops!

As a lover of metallics and geometric crafts alike, I'm always drawn to simple DIY crafts that can help me inject a little himmeli-inspired vibe into my parties and celebrations. Today we bring you just that - a cool but easy tutorial that ticks all the aforementioned boxes! ;)

Easy is always the name of my DIY game. So make things really simple for ya, we partnered with Gorilla Glue, which you can purchase online or at hardware stores.

I LOVE their new Gorilla Super Glue Brush & Nozzle , which offers 2 easy ways to dispense the glue for control and accuracy - it has a fine bristle brush that offers controlled coverage with less mess and the precision tip nozzle for quick, easy dispensing. How awesome is that?! I love it that there's no mess too!

Plus, it's perfect for ceramics, paper, wood, rubber, metal...so it's ideal for this craft project!

Directions:

1) Start by removing any unnecessary parts from your candle holders or metal base. Use strong wire cutters for this, and bend any wire inwards if necessary.

2) In a well ventilated area, cover your surfaces with newspaper then spray the metal bases with one coat of the gold spray paint. Let it dry, then repeat as many times as needed to cover the entire surface well.

3) Once dry, apply a thin coat of the glue to the metal base. Top with a plate and press firmly for 10 to 30 seconds to adhere the two pieces together.

4) Let it stand for 24 hours before using.

Please note: These stand are not suitable for dishwasher, and must be cleaned by hand only.
