Rainbow Tablescape & DIY String of Pearls Balloon Garland
Did you see the pretty rainbow balloon arch we shared last week? Well, this DIY is a spin off, since we used the same technique to make a garland that you can use to decorate walls or as a table runner!
We also made a quick video to help explain how we achieve this look with a simple party trick using regular balloons!
Rainbow Party Tablescape Ideas
For the rainbow table decor, I didn't buy anything new. I simply "shopped" my party and crafts stash for colorful element to bring the rainbow themed table to life. So you know it's totally do-able and last-minute friendly!
DIY Rainbow Table Decor
For the place mats I traced large circles onto colorful card stock, using an existing place mat as a template. Quick and easy!
For each place-setting, there's nothing more appropriate than color coordinated candy in cute rainbow colored baking cups, and swirl lollipops in the colors of the rainbow. Not only they help add color to the table, but also double as party favors!
To complete the colorful look, simple tableware and drinks that were also color coordinated to match each place setting color. For this look, simply add a few drops of food coloring to water or clear lemonade!
For the centerpiece of the table, I opted for 3 rainbow balloon garlands that we taped to the underside of the table at each end. Simple and super fun, don't you think?! 😊
DIY String of Pearls Balloon Garland
That's right! No need to go out and buy fancy balloons or nothing like that!
This DIY tutorial for making a string of pearls balloon garland uses materials you probably have at home already, so it's inexpensive and perfect for those last-minute party decorations!
So much so that I was inspired to to create this whole rainbow themed party tablescape!
They're ideal for St Paddy's Day party of course, but also for a rainbow themed birthday party, baby shower or even a colorful dinner party or wedding!
Materials:
* 7 latex balloons int he colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet)
* white thread
* 7 beads or uncooked beans from you kitchen! :)
* masking tape or a pair of hand to help
PS - use the white balloons to make a rainbow like in this post.

How many balloons did you use for each string of garland and how is the table in the photo?
ReplyDeletered, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet (7 per garland) but you can make them as long or as short as you need to fit your table. Just keep adding balloons! :)
