A Relaxing Home Spa Party for Mother's Day

Mother's day is coming up and if you need a winning idea on how to treat mom on her special day with something she reeeeally needs and will totally love, then this DIY at home spa party is sure to tick all the boxes!

As a mother myself, the one thing I truly want on Mother's Day is to be pampered and get away from the daily chores. Forget jewelry or expensive gifts. All this mother wants is to chilax (husband and kids take notes!)! 😉

Being a  mother is the most rewarding and fulfilling job in the world. There are no words to describe the joy!

But it's also a full time job. To summarize, it's a constant juggling act, where we have our fingers in many pies (all at once), trying to achieve (an elusive) balance in life. No pressure!

If you're a mom, you certainly know what I'm talking about. So a day of relaxation where I don't have to plan anything or take care of anyone, is a rare treat.

This is why a DIY home spa is THE perfect way to butter up mom on her day! Add a smooth glass (or two) of Butter Chardonnay to the mix, and you're onto a winner for sure!

I LOVE the taste of this Butter Chardonnay from JaM Cellars with its rich, bold and luscious notes. Made in the tradition of quality Californian wine-making, the grapes they select are juicy, ripe and bursting with flavor. It's aged in a unique blend of oak, giving it stone fruit and baked-lemon notes with a lovely, long, vanilla finish. YUM!

It basically melts in your mouth, is creamy-licious, and we all  know “Everything’s Better with Butter!”, so it's my number one choice for the spa party libations! 😍

Start by selecting a few spa treatments for mom to enjoy like a great foot rub, detoxifying soaks, exfoliating face masks, a manicure and pedicure...

We created a printable floral themed menu card and place-cards to display all our spa treatments.

For all our spa treatments we selected mainly natural, easy to source ingredients for our spa party like honey, coconut butter, yogurt, sea-salt, refreshing cucumber slices and homemade and scented bath bombs (tutorial coming  soon) in the shape of hearts.

Not forgetting to keep mom hydrated, we recommend serving the delicious Butter Chardonnay alongside your spa treatments. Mom will love you for it, trust! 😉

We set up a spa bar cart with all the trimmings and spa treatment lotions and potions, and decorated the entire cart with gorgeous floral bouquets and plenty of relaxing candles.

A bar cart allows you to keep everything in one place, and wheel the goodies to keep the spa station super practical, fun and whimsical!

And don't forget! 

The homemade bath bombs, some cute nail polish and a bottle of delicious Butter, also make great gifts at the end of the party to help mom can prolong the relaxing spa experience for a few more days! 😍
