A Valentine's Day Crepe Party with Free Printables
Valentine's Day is 'round the corner, and if you need a simple yet very charming idea to celebrate love day, than this Crepe Party is for you! 😍
My kids are totally obsessed with French crepes or pancakes, so I decided to set up a Crepe Party on Valentine's Day to treat and spoil them.
A Crepe Party is such a fun and easy to pull-off idea for breakfast or brunch, but also great as a dessert spread on Valentine's Day. Or for any other time of year, for that matter!
Valentine's Day Crepe Party - The Tablescape and Decor
The ideas I share today are perfect for treating your kids and family on Valentine's Day. But you can totally upgrade the tableware if you're hosting your best gals for a Galantine's Day party, for instance.
I set up my crepe or French pancake bar directly on the dinning table, so the kids could sit around and help themselves in a very casual manner.
But again, feel free to designate a bar cart or separate table or area for your Crepe Bar if you're hosting adults for brunch for instance.
The chosen color scheme for my crepe Party was the traditional red and pink. I've done some other fun color palettes for Valentine's DAY in the past, but my kids are traditionalists 😋
Plus, I liked using tableware and serve-ware I already had at home to decorate my table for the occasion, so red and pink was my choice!
To dress the table, I used a white tablecloth, topped with a pink polka-dot table runner. You could use a fabric runner or wrapping paper also makes a great, inexpensive alternative to a traditional table runner!
For each place-setting I placed a round, glitter red charger from Oriental Trading (from a few years back), and topped it with disposable paper plates. I layered two plates, one striped and one red foil heart shaped to add height and cuteness to the table.
To complete each place-setting, I added polka-dot red napkins, pink flatware and goblets adorned with cute pink straws from BirdsParty.com
For each straw, I added a foam sticker (from Dollar Tree) to tie the whole table to our love day theme. But you could use one of the many Valentine's Day printables from BirdsParty.com also! 😉
To finish off each place-setting, I added cute DIY place-card holders that I show you how to make in the video below!
It added such a fun element to our table and doubled as cute photo holders for the kids to take home and use as decoration in their bedrooms.
Another fun decorative element of this Crepe Party tablescape were the cute, mini gumball machines filled with chocolate candy. Not only they looked super adorable, but they also doubled as party favors for the kids to take home.
To complete the table, I laid out all the serving bowls that were going to house the crepes, side dishes and toppings ready for the day of the party.
And finally, added some "LOVE" balloons to the table backdrop, which also doubled as a cute photo-booth backdrop! 💖

Valentine's Day Crepe Party - The Centerpiece and Free printables
Because we're hosting children, I opted for a simple and functional tablescape centerpiece instead of flowers.
For the centerpiece I used a pink cake stand, placed a cute heart-shaped photo frame in the center (from my local Dollar Store), and added baking cups filled with yummy toppings for the kids to add to their pancakes of crepes.
Valentine's Day Crepe Party - The Menu
Since this was a pancake or crepe party, we had to serve crepes!
I'm sharing my traditional French crepe recipe next week here on the blog, so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter so you don't miss it!
The crepes I make are super easy and only require five ingredients. Oh, and did I mention you don't need a fancy crepe-making machine? Yep, you can totally make French crepes at home using utensils you already own!
Besides the crepes, I served chocolate spread, whipped cream, jelly or red berries jam, chopped red berries, chopped nuts, chocolate chips and sugar heart sprinkles.
But you could also serve honey, yogurt or any other topping you fancy!
In fact, in France they use the same crepe recipe for savory versions. Those are topped with salmon, ham, eggs and cheese etc. which would be awesome for a Valentine's Day brunch!
Valentine's Day Crepe Party - The DIY Party Favors
Atop each plate, I included some fun, Valentine's Day printable paper crackers filled with heart-shaped chocolate as table fun and also party favors.
Besides the cute DIY photo holders, the kids also received some fun Valentine's Day party crackers filled with heart-shaped chocolates. You can download the same templates I used here and print as many as you need!
Like I mentioned earlier, the cute mini gumball machines filled with chocolate candy also doubled as party favors for the kids to take home.
Those come in four different colors, but I chose red and pink to match our Valentine's Day table decor.
