Brazilian Passion Fruit Mousse Recipe

I've been making this Brazilian passion fruit mousse recipe on repeat this summer. It's SO delicious, refreshing, very quick and easy to make, and only has 3 ingredients! What's not to love? 😉

It's a favorite with my whole family, and it's the ideal dessert to finish off any summer meal, dinner party or to serve at a tropical themed soiree this season!

Brazilian Passion Fruit Mousse Recipe

The original passion fruit recipe comes from Brazil, where I first tasted it at my grandmother's house many years ago.

But this recipe version is a little simpler because you can do it all by hand - i.e. no need to get a blender or scales out.

This passion fruit mousse is very light in texture, and quite creamy. So it's not technically a  mousse per se...but that's what they call it in Brazil, so let's just roll with it.

I've also made it with gelatin leaves in the past, and you get a firmer cream. That's the only real difference.

But for today's recipe, we're only using three ingredients like I said, which is the kind of dessert that I like to make in the summer - It means I have a pretty and delicious pudding to serve to my family or guests without much effort at all!

To serve up these little Brazilian mousses, I like to add a few passion fruit seeds on top and a couple of mint leaves for garnish. This is totally optional, but sure elevates your dessert to dinner party or "Instagram-worthy" status 😁

This Brazilian passion fruit mousse is truly one of the simplest desserts I can think of. So much so, that even a kid could make it!
