Summer is here, and if you need a fresh party idea or theme for your seasonal celebrations, then you can't go wrong with lemons!
I've teamed with a couple of French brands, for a super sweet collaboration to showcase their brand new lemon themed designs and paper goods, and I can't tell you how much I loved it! 🍋
Lemon Themed Party Ideas with DIY Decorations
For this lemon themed party we created ALL the decorations by hand, to show you easy and do-able ideas for any summer party or celebration you may be hosting this season.
The new lemon themed paper collection from Clairefontaine is now on sale at Cultura.fr and we had a blast coming up with creative but easy projects to help spark your imagination, and give you ideas on how to use these pretty papers to decorate and style a summer party!
The brand purposefully wanted us to keep the decor general so you can adapt it to whatever event you are hosting, like a summer birthday party, themed wedding , baby shower or a fun get-together at home or work.
Most of the ideas can also be re-purposed for whatever paper designs you have at hand, so feel free to experiment and get creative for other party themes and color palettes too!
The first project we created was this circular backdrop, which was basically two large foam boards glued together and cut in a circle.
We then added a white adhesive vinyl to the front to make the seam a little smoother and voila!
I really wanted to create a backdrop that was practical but also pretty for attaching our paper party rosettes, fans and our adorable "hello summer" party sign and decor to the backdrop of our desserts table.
For an indoors party you can simply rest the backdrop against a wall, but for an outdoors set up, we hot glued strings to the back of the board and tied it to a topiary bush!
Other easy DIY project for this lemon summer party include:
