It's kinda like an edible gift and card in one . Now, that's my kind of craft! ;) And it's so easy, even the kids can help.

DIY Quick & Easy Lace Candle Holders
My love affair with candles started when I was 14. We had to make crafty thing to sell at the school Christmas bazaar, and a candle-making workshop was where it all kicked off. Since then, I try to make my own if I can, like this one here and here . But making candles from scratch is not always possible..so I cheat a little by embellishing the candle holder itself. With a little imagination, anyone can create really amazing bespoke candles. And no, you do not need to be a seasoned crafter either! ;) These candles would be perfect for cozy dinner party tables or winter weddings!

DIY Wedding Table Number with Free Printables
As part of my recent wedding story for HGTV , I got to play with spray paint and create my very own mini pedestal stands. I had found some vintage pink saucers in a flea marked, and all I needed was to spray paint some ceramic candlesticks to match. I have to say I was hooked - Not only was it easy to make, so pretty, but also way more inexpensive than buying individual stands. Now I have all sorts of plans for making larger DIY ceramic cake and cupcake stand - So watch this space! ;)

Pretty picture, right?! :) Super easy to make too (I used melt and pour wax!). Get the full crafty tutorial below.

DIY and Sparkly Heart Soap Handmade Gift
My husband is not a sweet kinda guy. I'm mean, he's very sweet as a husband, he just doesn't like eating sweet things. So my baking cookies or cakes on Valentine's Day is wasted on him. This is why handmade, cute, scented, sparkly, heart-shaped LOVE soap is the perfect DIY gift for him! But if the words handmade soap sound scary, then fear not - I'm using 'Melt and Pour' Soap base, so it's super quick and easy! ;)
DIY Neon Heart Post-it Notes Backdrop
Call me (Christine, Pure Joy Events) old school, but I heart Post-It Notes. I use them to jot down notes, set reminders, bookmark pages, and label just about anything. When I came across this picture on Pinterest , I couldn't wait for the opportunity to make an eye-catching backdrop from the world's favorite sticky notes.
I love thinking up new ideas on how to re-purpose printables. Take a sheet of printable scrapbook paper + some heart favor tags, for instance - the possibilities are truly endless! I hate waste also, and have used the off cuts of the paper to embellish some pretty cute Valentine's Cutlery Pockets ! Step-by-step below...
