Confession time: Despite my love of parties, I never go OTT on costumes for Halloween. And I hate those shop-bought "monstrosities" costumes that you only wear once. But I DO like dressing the part for any party or celebration. So I tend to opt for some funky tee-shirts, crazy tights, makeup or a little black dress ( like in this post ). And almost every time, I reach our for animal ear headbands to complete the look (the mean girls "I'm a mouse, duh!" phrase comes to mind...).

Wearing green on St Patrick's Day not only ensures you won't get pinched, but it's also meant to bring good luck. But, I do not fancy looking like I took fashion lessons from a leprechaun... Nothing wrong with how they dress per say (if any leprechauns are reading this...), but after the age of 18 it gets a little harder to rock the stripy socks and green wig look ;)
The Oscars is on Sunday, if you're a last-minute gal; then you'll LOVE this post! Don't know about you, but pajamas is my go-to outfit for watching anything on TV. But there are such a occasions when a party is planned and you have guests 'round, so my casual-every-day-attire-of-choice is frowned upon... On such occasions, I wanna look like I've made an effort. But without too much hassle. You know, saying to your guests "Oh, this old thang?! I just threw it on..." (wink) when they compliment you on your look...
I don't consider myself a "girly" gal. My nails are not always done. My mascara doesn't stay put when I cry. I wear flat shoes (boots) most days. Love me a bit of Dexter ...
