Candy Corn Halloween Cocktail | Video Recipe11:08 AMC Riches
Happy Friday, party lovers!
This week has been intense with thunderstorms and internet issues for us...but at least we're not in the path of tornado Matthew, so we're counting our blessings and sparing thoughts and prayers for those touched by the freak weather.
On a happier note, this internet issues have allowed us to disconnect from social media a little (nevre a bad thing in my book) and concentrate on making more videos for you guys. Clouds and silver lining come to mind...
I say cocktail, but it works beautifully as a mocktail too, without any alcohol. So it's the ideal drink to serve at parties, for kids and adults alike!
As always, we made a quick recipe video for you guys, just in case you need clarification on who to achieve that super cool triple layered effect that emulates the candy corn.
Also, feel free to substitute the vodka for gin (great Halloween gin tonic BTW) or infuse some lemonade instead.
Candy Corn Halloween Cocktail | Video Recipe
Ingredients: For 1 person
This recipe can be easily doubled, tripled etc to make a huge batch cocktail for a party.
1 tablespoon candy corn
1 shot vodka or 1/4 (60ml) cup lemonade
1/2 cup or (100ml) orange juice
about 1-2 tablespoons Grenadine
Watch the quick video for the full how-to:
1) In a cup or bowl, add candy corn and vodka/lemonade and let infuse for at least 1 hour. Stir then Strain.
2) Add the the infused vodka/lemonade, orange juice and ice to a cocktail shaker.
Shake, then strain into a martini glasses.
3) Slowly add grenadine, close to the rim of the glass so it sink to the bottom to create your candy corn layers.
4) Top with as little or as much whipped cream as you dare! Add sprinkles (optional) and enjoy at once!
For the kids version I like to cover the whooooole top layer with whipped cream. They never complain ;)
