Spring Blossom Cocktail Recipe
Mildly entertaining true story: I planned to shoot this Cherry Blossom Cocktail recipe with the beautiful cherry flowers we have in our cherry trees. But when it came to the shoot day, the blossom were all washed out by the rain! Shock horror!
But I soon spotted that our peach trees were in fact blossoming (and looked pretty similar to the cherry ones..) and so decided to Google it, and lo and behold; it turns out they are just as edible as cherry blossom. Phew!
Moral of the story: if you ain't got cherry blossom for this tipple, it's OK to substitute with other (organic) and edible spring blossom.
Excuse the non-manicured hands - it's on my (endless) to-do list ;)
Spring Blossom Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
* Cherry brandy (Kirsch)
* Gin
* Sparkling lemonade
* Grenadine
* Cherry or other edible (organic) blossom for decor
How to: watch the quick video below!
Isn't that always the case? You get all your ducks in a row. . .and mother nature swoops in to add a little disruption to the plans. But is seems like you came up with an equally divine substitute. And can I say. . .this cocktail is absolutely stunning?
ReplyDeleteToo right, Lynn! The peach blossom does look similar, so I'm lucky it was intact to be used! :)
