If you follow me on YouTube , you'll probably would have noticed how much I LOVE to shop at thrift stores, and then makeover items that I find there, to decorate my tables and my home. Since we've been at home a lot these days, I find myself passing the time and keeping busy by crafting and sharing my creations over on my YouTube channel ( you can check it out here ). The royal wedding is in a few days, are you excited?! I sure am, mainly because the event presents us with the perfect opportunity to host a high tea party to celebrate while watching the ceremony! I remember the first royal wedding a few years ago only too well. Not only did we shared some very British inspired party ideas to celebrate the occasion , but my scones recipe was also featured on CNN entertainment, and I'll be forever grateful to the Royal Wedding for that! 😉
Despite the cold and rain some of us are having, spring is actually here. And I thought I'd share some easy-to-make flower sugar cookies for all those seasonal spring parties you may be currently planning. 'Cause let's face it, no party is complete without cookies. And no spring party is complete without flower sugar cookies! Thinks mother's day, spring brunch, bridal showers, tea parties, bee themed birthday...these cookies also make great homemade gifts for teacher's or to give out to guests as favors at your spring party!
In my book pink goes with pretty much anything ;) But is particularly pretty, coupled with bright yellow for a seasonal garden party inspired by flowers and butterflies ! I'm also SO over those big, elaborate dessert tables we used to style some years ago. And as much I loved doing them, I think kids birthday parties don't need to be OTT to be charming. A few touches of DIY decor is all I tend to go for these days, and this darling inspiration board is proof that less is more!

Not only it's super simple to make and dresses up any plain table instantly, but it also uses materials you probably have around the house. AND it double as a pretty gift for mom! ;)
Mildly entertaining true story: I planned to shoot this Cherry Blossom Cocktail recipe with the beautiful cherry flowers we have in our cherry trees. But when it came to the shoot day, the blossom were all washed out by the rain! Shock horror! But I soon spotted that our peach trees were in fact blossoming (and looked pretty similar to the cherry ones..) and so decided to Google it, and lo and behold; it turns out they are just as edible as cherry blossom. Phew!
I first made these sugar lollipops for my kids garden party some years ago (read it here ) . Back then, I didn't have a lollipop mold or a candy thermometer, but they turned out great nonetheless! Fast forward six years, and now that I own a proper mold, the possibilities are endless, my friends! Like adding edible flowers and Spring bloom to make it into a more grown-up version ;)

These Plush Flowers, believe it or not; are made from paper napkins and super quick to make too! They are a variation on my plush fabric flowers that I shared here . Don't they just look so cute?! AND they do not require any sewing , nor a lot of time - The idea came to me when styling our recent Easter Garden Party . I really wanted to use pastel colored plush flowers, but did not have the time nor disposition to get out my sewing kit, and wondered if the technique would work with paper.
